I wanna play! All ya'll are like Senior/Super Members. Ya'll mind poky ole me? I'm more on the new ends of things... been quilting forever though, we'll 20 something years. I miss swapping... so few people do it any more and I can't find like the centralized block/fabric swaps too much. I used to sew all day every day and still have so many of my completely swaps just sitting out in the garage in a tote box. Really should get them all out and finish them before lamenting the fact that I can't swap any more. Something about getting back stuff from all over the place. Wall hanging is good though, I should be able to finish something like that in short order. I got this nifty pattern in and I'm playing with dyeing wool for it. This could be a good start heading into it... just a block.. it's covered with hand embroidery so fun.

Oh my goodness! Such a beautiful block! Welcome to the swap WendyMcD! (Does that name come from both Wendys and McDonalds?) Nifty, either way. If that's a sample of your work you may be disappointed in what the rest of us produce (me, anyway). That block is simply gorgeous!

That is beautiful Wendy Mcd , You have given me an idea with some fabric I have with Animals on and I look at it thinking I can't cut that up

Rhonda, really like your quilt. Looks complicated but by your pics is easy. And granky, your quilt looks awesome. I am not a blue person, but you have given the quilt a bit of a wow factor, great job.
As far as gabby, I am not that much. Been busy making two complete Thanksgiving dinners (one for our in-laws who are house bound). Also, hubby and I spent Thanksgiving and weekend wrapping and packaging Christmas for the out of towners. Shipped 6 boxes all over the country. Finally taking a break to think about my wh and what I want to do this time. I have plenty of applique work to do, but would like to think of something else for my wh. So I am thinking, thinking.........

Rumbols....I'm not exactly a 'blue' person either, but I have learned that if I am supplying the fabric and labor, the only thing I will allow the recipient to choose is one color...and she chose blue. I tried to make her a quilt before with her choice of fabrics and it was a disaster...so I started over with the one choice and I think it's going to work out.....

Thanks all, I'm working on trying to find felt to dye up in a color theme. You'd think it'd be easy but most I find is just plastic stuff, shudder.

That quilt, it's not mine, it a pattern I bought to make up a quilt from. A very pithy pattern as she's just got line drawn sheep and not a lot of info on how to go about it. Good thing I'm very visual. I don't think I'll have everything together in order to make a block into a wall hanging. I might have to play with cottons instead. I have a stack full of half square triangles all ready to play with. That said I do have some dyeable wools coming in. We'll see if they are worth it. Also found a felting machine to make my own. I have an entire shed full of raw fleeces.

Must head off to work, have a great day.

Ok....I think I decided on what I'm going to do.....A new technique......a larger version is on my bucket list so you'all are going to be my Guinea pigs as I attempt to pull this off. I'll share when I have my pile of supplies... It's super girly so if a dude signs up for the Swap, he can re-gift it to his mother....

Sounds intriguing Teen! And you're only going to show us your supplies? No hint of a pattern? Hmmmm. I still have absolutely no idea what I'm going to make. Sure hope inspiration comes soon!
