Wahoo! I finished and mailed Boop56's mug rug this morning Tracking #'s sent to Boop56 & Armylady . . . according to the PO the mug rug should arrive on Friday November 15. I had fun playing this month - I do enjoy making and receiving mug rugs. Thanks for letting me join in the fun.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Look what was in our afternoon mailbox!!! It's just adorable Peggy!!! Thank you for such a sweet mug rug and TSA approved travel scissors . Mr. Tom sure will make a fine debut to handle a cup of hot cocoa during our frigid temps we're experiencing in the deep south!

Nelco, love my "cardtrick" mug rug. The primary colors really make it look like an optical illusion. I've never done that pattern before. Also gives a 3d effect. Thank you. . We are rushing out the door to go to Charlotte for our daughter's wedding. I'll post pictures next week when I get back. Thanks again... love it!

Hooray! I am glad you like it. The blanket stitch was done on my little Janome. It's not a fancy machine but it does do a nice blanket stitch. I enjoy applique. It makes me look like a better quilter than I really am :-)

What a cute turkey mug rug! And those travel scissors are going to come in really handy.

Mine is on my way to my partner... hoping nothing slows delivery (no bad weather!) It's coming, Pat!

Granky and I were completely in sync! We mailed on the same day and received on the same day. Her precious mug rug made me chuckle out loud. Perfect for this crazy household. He is adorable. I would love to know if you sewed right sides together and turned? I love the effect as I have trouble with mitered binding sometimes. I love your method. He is already out on my side table and the coasters and fabric. are beautiful as well. Much thanksName: image.jpeg

Nonnie4....so glad you liked the 'not a turkey'...and yes, I did simply put right sides together and then turn...better known (I think) as the 'birthing' method. Seems to work better sometimes...especially on smaller projects.

Surprise! My mug rug was in today's mail! I laughed when I saw it because apparently, great minds had been thinking alike! (letsquilt and I were both making dresden turkeys for each other.)

I love it, letsquilt! So cute, and I love all the beautiful fabrics in it. The two mug rugs we made each other are really quite different, just a common concept.

Thank you letsquilt, for a cheery mug rug I will use every Fall!
