Well, the Thanksgiving holidays are almost over. All those people on my FPC were in my kitchen and great fun. Tonights dinner was...... leftovers. Just can't help it. It either gets reimagined with loads of people or it sits around so long we're sick of looking at it and into the trash it goes. The frige is still too full. Thanks for cold weather so things can be kept cold in the garage. When everyone got back from target shooting, they were cold and clean-out-the-refrigerator soup was a big hit. Yesterday at the big dinner, we got to talking about "traditional" foods for Thanksgiving. So there was turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing. My faves: home made sugar free cranberry sauce, mincemeat pie and cooked fall veges (NOT green bean casserole), Marie's traditional green gelatin salad, Gene's fave pumpkin pie, Alan's faves apple pie, home made fudge and English onion sauce, Peggy's fave Marie Calendar's Razzle Berry pie, Leslie's home made breads and real home made whipped cream. Did I mention DESSERT? Peg forgot the sparkling cider. There was plenty of wine and soda. Didn't need the cider

I'm thankful we go back to somewhat normal eating tomorrow and for the stationary bicycle. I'm thankful that Peggy gets to spend an extra day after everyone else goes home. I'm thankful for cousin Dan getting the computer issues solved for us. I'm thankful for laughter and teasing. I'm thankful that God has made me more gracious when people get on my nerves. I'm thankful for this big house so we can have all these people together. For the family. For the snow and hail. For friends. For the deer. For the barking dog. It just feels so good to be thankful.
