I had a pretty neat 50th, my most favorite gift came to me via the internet from a stranger. It's a skit from Saturday Night Live with Molly Shannon. Sally O'Mally applies to be a Rockette, she's proud to say she's 50 years old and she likes to "kick, stretch, and kick! The name of the skit is Rockette's Open Audition.

I truly cried from laughter and it made my day!

I got a new job, been at it this week so far.. its pretty cool.. night shift though.. which is fine, i'm always awake til 6am.. just not always using my brain at that time, so it's tiring right now. Didn't help me get to sleep before 5am last night though!. have mostly gotten it down to asleep by about 3am. Hopefully next week will be better for sleep schedule and wakefulness.

Well, they were wrong! It came today! Thank you so much for the fantastic parcel. I got the thing I wanted most - a 5" square ruler, plus fabric, which included a pack of Moda Candy Bars, Texas charm pack, patterns, thread, toy for Fergus, needle holder and pullers. I'll post a pic tomorrow as it's late evening here and the light had faded when it arrived earlier - our daylight hours are quite short now.

I can not beleive it has been so long since I had a chance to check in. Life just seems to be kicking me straight in the butt for the past week. Lets see two kids suspended from school last week for stupidity. Thats all can say on th at one. They both finally went back to school yesterday. So, today DH and I had plans to attend the yearly Thanksgiving luncheon at our middle sons school. Get to school, get lunch, go to sit down, and then a message arrives. Its from my youngest childs teacher who attends the same school we are at. It says that she needs to see me ASAP. So I figure great he is either sick or worse he has had a moment of stupidity too. Get to the classroom, walk in, and there sits my little angel at this desk looking quite awful. I ask is he sicks, the teacher answers no and then tell me. Justus was out on the playground playing climbed up the slide lost his balance and fell get this 7 feet, yes thats feet and landed straight on the top of his head. Well you can only imagine the fear that jumped into me right along with feeling of my heart suddenly landing in my throat. Spent rest of the afternoon in the Dr. office. Justus is fine, just a little bump and stratch on his head.

So, now that my heart has resumed its normal position in my chest and all is okay, so far. Still have to watch Justus for the rest of the night. I just want to say two things, CALGON, take me away and as for the question of the month. What are you thankful for. Here it is, I am thankful that my beloved little man is okay and well. Considering what could have happened Ill take the bump and scratch anyday. Thanks you God for making sure he is okay.

Now on to the fun stuff, SP, I mailed out your package yesterday. Havent given any clues yet so I guess I can do that now. You live in a state that is very popular with tourist. Your state has one of the famous children places and well is a enormous place for racing.

Finally for the fun stuff, after my trying week especially today I get home and a package is waiting for me. YIPPPPPEEEEEE. Thanks so much Quiltnut4ever. You sent an awesome box. Justus helped me open it and even he says oh thats nice. I got lots of goodies, hope I dont forget any. Here it goes, fabric, one plain white, and one white tonal, a red floral, xmas holly, and a green blender fabric. Also, a too cute tissue holder, a small notebook, a table topper pattern, Ferrero Rocher candies (YUM), a Florida magnet (thinking maybe I should start collecting magnets from different states, this is the first), a tape measure, the cutest xmas band aids. A mini nail file, Mark be gone Marking pen (needed that), an Easy Dresdan Ruler with wooden iron (wanted that), McCalls Crafts accesory pattern (great xmas gifts to make) a card, an All you mag (these have great coupons in them, one of my fav mags), and a book on Appliques. What a wonderful box. I have many hours of fun coming with this one. Now to just find the time.LOL Maybe next week its hunting season next week and most of the kids have plans to spend the entire week at grandparents house so Ill most likely only have two of them here. I see play doh in the future for the kids and sewing for me. Thanks again Quiltnut4ever, I really needed a pick me up today.
