October to December 2017 Table Runner Swap

    Hi Guys,

Welcome to our ongoing Table Runner Swap! This one will run from the beginning of October to the 31st December 2017.
You have until the end of December to make a table runner - the theme this time is... WINTER - (this does not include Christmas as some people do not celebrate the holiday).

    Size of Table Runner

The table runner should be a minimum of 12” x 30”.
You can use any technique/ any style.
All fabrics used should be 100% cotton.
The runner must have wadding and be quilted.

    Sign Up list

There is no deadline so you can sign up at any time during the 3 months as this will be just an intention to participate. When you have made and are ready to mail your runner you can then sign up to the “ready to mail” list which is binding commitment.
But please remember that the only list that counts is the Ready to Mail list at the end of December 2017.

    Ready to Mail list

An initial Ready to Mail list will be posted around the 24th December 2017.
If you are not on this list you will not get an address to send to unless you contact me and get on the final listing.

MIDNIGHT on the 31st December 2017 – is the deadline to get on the “Ready to Mail” list

    I will need:

    Real name
    Your address
Whether you are willing to send international or not (Please consider this as it enables everybody to take part)
    Allergy info
    Pet and smoking information
    Email address

As long as you have a table runner ready to mail by the deadline you can join us any time!

    Addresses Sent Out:

I will send out the name and address of the person you should send to on the 2nd or 3rd January 2018. You will have 7 days to get your table runner in the mail - NO LONGER. If you are unable to keep this commitment - please do not sign up.

You will send your table runner to the quilter who's address you get.
You will receive from a different quilter than the one you send to.

This is not a partner swap.

Please remember that there are quilters of all abilities on this board and you should appreciate the table runner you receive as your sender will have worked hard to make it for you.

You are welcome to send some goodies in your package if you would care to, but please don't expect anything other than the table runner.

PLEASE NOTE.... You must let me know when you mail and when you receive. Also, please PM the person that sends to you when you receive to say thank you and to let them know that the table runner that they have sent you has arrived - it is only polite to do so!

So come and join our fun.

    Hugs

    Caroline

Oh Boy, I spent so much time on pinterest looking for ideas. I don't like copping so I just get ideas and make my own pattern. I'm going to maybe start some pre-work on it tomorrow. This will be a fun swap again I'm sure.

Count me in too! A winter wonderland of ideas.

    I have PM'd C.

Linny, you have a lovely runner from jaba. This is such an interesting and fun pattern. Your blonde table is the perfect base for this one and I like the asters too.

I havent started mine yet but have decided on colours. Grey for winter clouds and blue, because we have blue skies too. Brown for the paddocks as they're plowed up for sewing the crops and Green for the paddocks kept for the cattle & sheep to graze on. Just have to decide on a pattern!

Been working on mine..top is almost done. lots of blues and snowy greys. Not sure how to quilt it, but I may try the stipple pattern. I picked up a plastic stipple stencil at our LQS.

Well I finished my runner a couple days ago. I had computer troubles and couldn't get online to post a sneek peek until now, Hope someone enjoys it. I was trying to get it done before the holidays start popping up. It has some FMQing on it. I'm just learning it and not that good yet. It doesn't show to well so I guess it might pass. I love seeing the quilting on runners and quilts etc. I folded the back over the front to give a little peek at it. Gotta PM Caroline before I forget. Everyone have a Great Thanksgiving.

Thanks Linny. The blue and the white have a silver snowflake on them. I don't know if it shows that way. They are also Batiks. The folded over corner is a snowman print on the back. Hope we see some more sneak peeks soon.

The silver snowflakes definitely show up and give it that wintry feel. Mine is finished except for binding stitching. It has houses and instead of putting fabric trees between the houses, I quilted them in. Kind of different, hope it doesn't look too weird. Will try and post a picture soon. look forward to seeing pics in the coming weeks.
