Another candy package came yesterday. Thank you to TrishB! (The envelope was pretty mangled but it looks like the contents are all still there.)

Two more packages arrived from WMU Teach and Jarenie. Thank you ladies! (I'm still holding all the packages until my birthday.)

I received FOUR more birthday packages! jarenie, bullock2us, WMUTeach, and jannie!! Two sent an extra fat quarter with the candy. What a fun surprise. I love them.

That makes my count 22/35 Birthday Candies Received. I know there's one for sure we stopped hearing from, she's just still on my list.

Wow... that's still a lot of people who haven't sent to you... about 1/3 of our people. Come on, ladies... FINISH STRONG! Sheri's birthday was 10 days ago. :(

I sent out the candy for Janice, that is my last birthday candy for last year. Now to prepare for the next year's candy.

I mailed my Feb. candies yesterday. Sheri, sorry it's late. I've been in St. Louis helping my mother pack to move out of a house she has been in for 62 years. It's overwhelming the amount of stuf she has. She is definately a pack rat. We haven't even touched the 2 bedrooms upstair where her sewing machines are.

This has been a great swap. I looked forward to each month but I think I'll have to sit out next year. I have so many projects to catch up on and finish. I'll keep watching the swap. I feel like I've made lots of new friends. Thanks to all that played.

I received one more Candy Card yesterday! It was from Karen G....but...I had also received one from her on my birthday, Feb. 3. I checked and yes, Karen, you sent me two cards. I can return one, or check you off for next year :D

I am also counting off DoriDes, my sister(I know where your stash is!), and mrs.sherbert, my daughter, whose last packages I've sent out for her...

Hello ladies...I hope you all had a nice Valentines Day.

It is my husbands birthday and we had a big party for his 60th birthday. It was a surprise party and he was truly surprised. So surprised that he left in the morning to go and pick up a friend to come over for lunch and they stayed out for 2 hours passed when I expected him. Guess the surprise was on me!

I thought I gave it away when he went out to shovel snow and came in the house and said he was going to get his friend and would come back and take a shower. I told him no you need to do that now. (he knew his parents and our kids were coming over for lunch). Nope I guess he just knows I'm bossy!

Benndm.. you are a good daughter to help out your mom with such a big job! Good luck and come stop by the new thread and say hi!

The new swap sign up will be ending soon. I plan on ending sign up around the 20th of February. Right now our first birthday is not until March 29th.

And Benndm, thank you for the pincusion you made for me. It was the sweetest surprise. I wrote your name on the bottom of it... and keep it at my sewing machine, stuffed in the middle of the little rubber ring that holds my filled bobbins. It always makes me smile!

Once again I as traveling, but I am now home for good. The heavy travel schedule is now done.

I mailed out the February birthday candies today. I was going to mail out yesterday, but forgot about the holiday and needed to go to the Post Office to get stamps. I thought for sure I had some but for the life of me I could not find them.

It was a great year ladies and I hope to see may of you again in the next round.

So I have had a whole weekend to myself this weekend. Started on Friday and will be ending soon. I like having my "own" time and not worry about what is for dinner, and just doing things for other people.

So this weekend was a little different. Seemed to be a little weepy I guess it has given me time to really thing about my dad, and just life in general. Also this swap is coming to a close. That is also a little sad. I have met some really nice ladies here. I have gone through a very hard year and you have all been there for me. Thanks so much.

I am glad to see that a lot of you are coming back for another round. Yeah! I do hope that the people that are not returning stop by to say hi...either on the new thread or just send me a PM.

Please keep celebrating our last birthday girl. I will keep the thread "open" until Feb. 28th.

Thank you to all 26 of you who sent all the wonderful gifts including the fabulous candy squares, cards (including many wonderful homemade and personalized ones!), extra fabric squares and fat quarters (Gannyrosie, Jannie, and Trish B), "real" candy (Oneteapot), a lovely pincushion (Benndm) and a birthday mug rug (SewbizGirl) that has been a constant under my coffee mug since yesterday. Thank you to everyone for all the special touches and they way you safely packed up the candy squares. Everything made it safe and sound despite a bit of mangling on a couple of envelopes.

It was tough to hold on for a year but you all made it worthwhile!

Oh Janice! What a great spread! It makes me need to put mind all together too. Sounds like s great activity for an icy Texas day!

LoL Barb. My daughter in ND says the same thing. And I hear YA! I grew up in Idaho. Nobody here knows what to do in icy weather, I think. They announce everything closed down practically the day before storms hit. Sometimes they really are bad Texas-wise. If it were just snow but here everything gets iced. I told my sister sunday we were "hunkering down" for the storm and she thought it was the funniest thing ever. :D

Here, Here for winter in Michigan. I am just down the road a piece from Barb, OK and hour and a half close to our big friend, Lake Michigan. Yup! in-deedy-do it is C-C-C-C-Cold and we have plenty of snow that is more piles of crystals of ice than snow. But, would I move away from all of this winter? No, love the four seasons, just getting tired of -5 and -10 degree days. Chin up you shivering southerners, it will hit 70 degrees sooner for you than for us hardy northern folk. When it is too cold to go out, quilt!
