Isn't this beautiful? The flower is called a Mexican Hat.
paris1889 created this even though she is still unpacking her quilt room!!! You are amazing (or have recognized that quilting often keeps us sane). Thank you, paris1889! |
Paris 1889 your post card is really lovely . Do they grow near you?

Beautiful April postcard received from Maggiedeux (Marcella). I love it!!! Sadly, I am once again unable to upload a picture - this time even from my PC (and I have tried from Chrome and Firefox). Will try again on my old computer when I return home next week. |
Yes, they are one of numerous wildflowers in Texas and bloom faithfully every spring. This year has been an especially great year for wildflowers.

wow these cards are outstanding; the stitching so fine. Every single postcard is a work of art. Great job everyone.

Paris, that is a beautiful card. You are so lucky to have wildflowers like that grow in your area. It would definitely cheer me every time I saw them.

I finally got the card to post, but cannot get it to rotate. UGH! Anyhow, Marcella really did some beautiful embroidery and stitching on this card, note the outlines of Texas and Maine, and the inclusion of the Eiffel Tower (paris1889, with 1889 being the year the Eiffel Tower was completed). I just love it!!!!
