I got my Beautiful FQ in today's mail. Thank you so much for the extra fabric and the cute tissue holder. Loved the "Kentucky" post card too. The childrens prints are adorable, I will make good use of all of them. Good choices! |

Finally got my pictures downloaded. Here are my beautiful Aug FQ's.I received from Marne, along with a card and pin. Thank you. The fabricis are so pretty and I love the colors! Super greens and pinks --Exceptional.

Laura, (halfpintwts) I am so sorry to hear about the death in your family. Have gone through several in our family lately, so I totally understand. Just take your time with the FQ's and do not stress over it, please. When things settle down, then you can do the things you were going to do before this happened. I don't care how long it takes, just take care of yourself and the things you need to do. Thank you for the post.!!

OMG halfpintwts, just received the fabric today. I can't thank you enough. With all you had to deal with, I want you to know how much I appreciate it. And the little This and That is one of the cutest things I've seen for a very long time. I will try to post pictures, but if it doesn't work, this will have to do.

I have yet to see anything on here that people make with their FQ's they get in the swap so I thought I would be the 1st to show off what I made. I have made blocks with other FQ's that were given to me, for my BOM partner, but this is the 1st thing I made for myself. It's a bowl potholder and boy does this come in handy! Here's the top and bottom:

I just look for things like that to make either for myself or I do the monthly SP swap. Different little things to add that you make are always welcomed. When I see something like this, it's great, as I've never seen one posted that someone got. A little more unusual than a pincushion or pot holder...

Jaba, I made that with the FQ's I got from this swap. And I also do (or did) the SP swap and you're right about that, I haven't seen anyone rec one from that thread. But like I said before, I usually go to YouTube to learn things or I'll google something I'm interested in and I also belong to Pinterest, they have a lot of cool ideas there. Join Pinterest HERE.
