Hi Pet! Welcome to the swap! I am a senior citizen living with my cat Chloe. I have one son and two grandkids who live locally. I've been enjoying the boom swaps since #19 (although I missed #20 due to moving from Florida to Ohio). This time of year is when I really miss Florida. But, being close to family makes it all worth it. I've been sewing since my teen years. I made soft sculptured cloth dolls for many years before starting to quilt about 7 years ago. I know you will enjoy being a member of this group of fine ladies. I know I do.

Pet- I forgot to say that I started with Boom #10. I've missed only 2 Booms since starting, Boom 26 and I think #16. I told you, the Booms are addictive! LOL

We’re still stuck at home which I’m enjoying. Lots of cooking, reading, napping and piecing going on. Looks like we might be able to get out tomorrow afternoon as the hill at the end of the road out might be dry by then. The pup has surgery Thursday and she’s got to be there by 8:15am. If it’s not dry tomorrow, it’ll be ice the next morning and we’ll be cancelling. Fingers crossed it’s dry tomorrow.

Hi Petthefabric, I’m Lisa, 51 years old and I have done 4 of these boom swaps. I’m married to my best friend. I am originally from GA, in 2003 my son needed a transplant and I moved to PA. He passed away in 2006. I met my husband while I was in Pa, (internet dating). When he closes a window he opens a door. My husband was my rock when I was going thru the worst period of my life. I gained a bonus daughter, she calls me her bonus mom. No grand children yet, but hopeful. I have been quilting for about twenty years. I also love to knit, crochet and cross stitch. You will become addicted to this swap, it truly is fun and you will have some great friends in the end.
