travelinggramma...love your quilts....they look huge! what size are they? I made the top one but I really like how you did it on the diagonal and added the half square pieces and the thin boarder...back is awesome too!

The third photo is also lovely...do you know the name of that quilt? I have never seen it before.

Okay this is great inspiration!!!! Look what you can do with all those pretty little squares. Makes me want to go and sew something! :)

WMUTeach...I can teach you how to post a photo but you will have to tilt your head to the side to see it. I always seem to post mine sideways. HMMMMM

TO POST PHOTOS:

go the the Quick Reply...(same place you always post a reply)
Look down and click "GO ADVANCE"
then scroll down about 1/2 way and click on "MANAGE ATTACHMENTS"
Then a new window will pop up.
Click on "CHOOSE FILE"
Then it will give you choices of things ON your computer to post. I always put my photos on my desktop first and name them to find them easily.
Click on the photo you want from the list to post.
at the bottom right it will say "UPLOAD PHOTO"
you will not see an image YET but you will see img.peg under Current attachment.
then click the red button in the left corner and close the pop up window
Now click "POST"
should be there....but probably sideways:shock:

Last week I had to go to a specialist for testing. She gave me 16 blocks. there were red sides, white sides, and hst sides. she gave me a picture and told me to replicate it. What fun - and then afterward I told her that it is something I love to do - making quilt blocks!!

Wow Travelingramma ~ I really love you posted your pictures all three are FANTASTIC! The first picture the 16 patch set on point, organized in a gradient pattern ~ then the white sashing just make those scrappies POP!

I'm pleased to be back in for my second year. I had cut so many last year that have start on this year. I find so much pleasure in not only cutting the candies but bagging them and sending them out, especially since I experienced receiving all those envelopes during my birthday month!

I just did a major Winter into Spring organizing/cleaning/donating/purging of my quilt room. Now onto doing the same in the room where I have my cutting table. It feels so good to have things labeled, and to be ready to start my next project. However, I'm having such a hard time deciding on which quilt pattern I want to start.

I'm a very pattern dependent person and a visually inspired person. I guess you could say I never colored outside the lines well. I guess it is one of the major reasons I so enjoy the QB to see how creative other members are and the different ways they interpret patterns, with their color choices making truly unique quilts.

Ms. Queen Bee ~ I for one hope that permission is granted to you to do a QAL during the next year! Just remind those that 'grant' permission of your title 'QUEEN' and maybe, just maybe they will understand nothing is denied a queen, or it's off with their heads!

I've never participated in a QAL and doing it with the 'Sisterhood-of-the-Birthday-Swap' sounds like fun.

travelinggramma, love your quilts, what an accomplishment for you. I'm trying to get at least some of my ufo's finished this year. I am really bad cause I have a problem with finishing. I really get interested and start with my blocks then losing interest. I envy someone that actually finishes what they started!

I can't recall if this had a name or not. It is made up of 25 patchs. Every other patch has a friendship star in it. I think it was supposed to be another star - but I made it with a simpler one!

Just had to share:
I became a grandma for the first time today. What an adventure. Steven "Hyde" Stewart was due March third. My DIL's water broke on 2/2/17. After 48 hours of induced labor, he was born at 7:53AM on 2/4/17. Hyde is 5'13", 20 inches long, and Grammy's pride and joy.

My favorites are bright and bold... yellow, orange, fuchsia, purple, green, blue ... and patriotic.
