I ordered mine online also, ordered priority flat rate padded tyvek envelopes with postage prepaid. They came 10 to a bundle. I thought Jane had said she wanted padded envelopes so that's why I ordered them, the regular ones were cheaper, guess I'll know they are alright next time I have to order some. Our "little rural" post office has no way of stamping them prepaid, I was told, so had to order them. I didn't have any labels to print the postage, all out and the PO had them on back order from the web site. Anyway still cheaper than the old way.
I didn't label each baggie with all your names on them, just mine and the instructions that I would like, but I will label each one when I send them back. Has everyone mailed yet or about ready to mail?

Yep just waiting for the return!!! I've been picking out patterns and printing them out so when they get here, I'll be ready to roll.

Thanks joanelizbay, I feel better about the envelope making it to Janice!

I mail mine from the town I work in...NOT the town I live in because they always always are cheaper than the "bigger" place I live. It was a tight fit to get all 15 in the cardboard but they fit and they sold me a stamped, undated envelope that I put in there also so either way I think is great! Might have to go to the legal size sending the completed blocks back though and I think they will be thicker than the F8's?

Yea..know what you mean!! When I went to mail Gaijin's finished block in our last swap, Monroe tried to charge me $14.00 to send it! I took it back home with me and went to a little post office in the next county and they sent it for $2.05. Bet you can't guess where I go to do my mailing now! Ladies, it pays to shop around. I told the guy in Monroe that I know they're having problems but they're not going to make it up off me. I still can't believe the difference that 20 miles made in the price.

Being snowed in has its advantages! I took the extra F8 I had and made a couple of practice blocks out of it. I really like the "orange" with the fabric but not sure how manly it looks...Cant wait to see what you all come up with!!

Orange looks great! I think it's manly. Have to show you what my husband made for me. Told him I wanted a quilt rack that didn't take up floor space and between the 2 of us here's the result. Think he's going to make a couple of more and I'm going to see if I can display them in the quilt shops here for sale. I love these on my wall to display quilts.

Jan, I found a quilt-rack lady at our last guild show and ordered an 8-arm one and 2 4-arm ones. I have the 8-arm upstairs, one of the 4-arms downstairs to hold tops & backing waiting to go on The Six and then the other 4-arm is a gift for a friend.

Out of curiosity, how much did it cost you in materials?
