Terriamn and NanaKathy55 - Wow! I love both of them! Thanks so much!

I'm up and in the process of getting caffeinated. Will start on more blocks as soon as I'm completely awake! LOL! :D

Thanks JoaneLiz, both blocks are super. Can't wait to show Joseph all the blocks

I love my blocks so far, they are simply beautiful. All of the blocks completed so far are great. I act in our community theater and every evening until after Labor Day, we have rehearsal. My sewing has slowed down until the weekend.

Squeeee! I wanna keep this block! LOL! It's one of those that practically put itself together. The fish screamed "batik" to me, so I poked around in my batiks. Aha! I found some nifty "ocean wave" fabric that I'd been saving for something special! Then I found some green batik that I'd originally considered somewhat beauty-challenged, but I looked at it more closely and hey! It's seaweed! :D Hope you like the little ocean scene, Joanelizbay! This one was so much fun to make.

Lovely blocks, Moonrise... how do you photograph them so nice and flat? Do you put them in the scanner?

After ironing them, I plop them onto my cutting mat, snap a picture with my camera, and use Photoscape (it's free) to crop out the extra, resize, and add the name. :)

For MonaG. It's called Bed of Stars, and it's from Quilter's Cache. It was a 9" block, but I sized it up. Hope you like it! :)

Love that fish block, Moonrise. The batik looks like a big coral to me. It's the perfect environment for fish to live. Your star is amazing too!

Aw, thanks! :)

.....

Here's the block I made for LUM. Hope you like it! It's hard to tell from the picture, but both of the fabrics I added have metallic gold in them. On the 2-1/2" squares, I only had 12 of them. I wasn't sure how I'd use them, so I stashed them away. When sorting through my box of patriotic fabrics, they jumped out at me. :D Hope you like the block. It's kind of a cross between a Jacob's Ladder and a Contrary Wife block. :)
