The one on the left is my practice block I made for myself. The second block is for Jaba and looks nothing like the first block even though they started from the same pattern. As I was deciding color placement for Jaba’s Block somehow those diamonds showed up & I liked how it looked. I hope it works in her quilt. Prayers up for you Jaba. (Janice you don’t have to put my block in the gallery, I don’t want to confuse your counting on the return trip.) |

RJL, Sewbiz is correct, I made up this block. It's roots are in a 12 blade dresden plate, the rest is made up as I went. The dressie blades are finished on both ends not just the outer end, and pieced. The little corner pieces are made up shapes that I appliqued to the background.

GramE I also love the diamond effect, very pretty block

Hi GramE. Lovely blocks! :). I’ll be happy to add yours to the gallery. It won’t in any way upset my apple cart when counting and sorting later on. :)

Oh my, such beautiful blocks. You all have been busy this weekend. We will be 107* today, wish I could stay in and sew, however, other responsibilities are screaming at me. haha
Kass - Super cute Sea Creature block. Thanks for the tutorial/ tips on how you made that. It is adorable. MonaG - Santa circles of squares is a fun block. Will work well with the other Santa blocks. The Chubby Star is awesome also. Cheesehead - Both your blocks are great!! I especially love the aqua in the skull fabric. Pamela - Your block is beautiful and frustrating, but relatively easy fix. I also do like SBG and re-sew before I take out the seam. Hopefully that last tweak will do the trick. Terriamn - QM's block is beautiful. Her quilt will be awesome. I love her fabric and color choices. GramE - Both blocks are perfect. I love seeing the same block with different fabrics. It give me a better perspective on how changing the fabric will look. I think Jaba's block is very cool. Love those diamonds. I'm heading to the beach for a week soon. I can't wait to get back to making blocks for this group. <3 |

Two more first for Pamela Old Town Star from 1000 Quilt blocks and I miscalculated on Mona’s and had to change the block. Hope you like the orange.
