Darcyshannon, beautiful mini!

Terriamn, hang in there. The heartache will eventually lessen, or at least morph into something else, but everyone’s timeline is so wildly different. I’ll continue to keep you and your sis in my thoughts. Hugs as always.

Joanelizbay, how are you doing?

LJDugas, haven’t heard from you lately. Hope your hand is improving.

Terri, your sister will really need you when everyone else goes home and she faces that first day (or days) alone. That's when it really hits you. All you can do is just be there for her. Words won't cover that helpless feeling but hugs do help. She's so lucky to have you and your shoulder to lean on.

Thinking of you today Terri....

Darcy, that’s a great quilt, beautiful work!

im getting ready to sash my blocks and start putting together my boom quilt. Is 2 1/2 inch strips a good size for 12 1/2 inch blocks? I’m going to be cutting the sashing so can do it any size, just wondering if there is a most common size I can go with. I want it to be proportional.

Pamela 2.5” is a good size for your lattice

Kass Frozen plates is fantastic and looks like the cubes is going to be just as great.

Funny thing today. My sis kept saying what kind of Lutheran funeral is this with no jello. Today her DIL stopped by with a container of jello for her.

Kass, the Frozen quilts are awesome! They will be so excited when you give them their quilts. Good job quilting the first one. You must be enjoying your new machine!

Terri... LOL. I never knew jello was a staple at Lutheran funerals. Down here we eat cake. All kinds of cake. We are pretty good at drowning our sorrow in sugar. Glad your sis got her jello!

Just found out today that one of my Silver Sneaker (senior adult) students just died suddenly. That's the awful part of working with seniors. You fall in love with them and then they die. :( I still wouldn't trade it for anything. They are precious people... wise, and all mellowed out by life.

Pamela, 2.5" is a pretty standard size for sashing big blocks. I use 3" a lot too. Can't wait to see your quilt!

Kass, both quilts are great, but I'm loving the way those Frozen Cubes are taking shape!
