Super cool Cubes, Kass! How big are the individual blocks?
|
The complete block is just a touch over 6 inches.
The 4 patch was made from 2.5 inch squares.

Kass, I love your frozen quilts. The cube one is going to be really cool.
Sewbiz, so sorry for the loss of your friend. Terri, your sister is lucky to have you by her side. Take good care of her. Jaba, I know it is hard to really enjoy your family and the warm weather when you are sick. Please take care and hope you feel better. Darcy, I am so pleased to see that you used the block that I made for you in the mini you made. I love the pumpkin quilting. Great job! Janice, enjoy your visit with your sons. There is no better feeling than spending time with family. |
Good morning, Boomers. It’s going to be a rainy week here. Too bad some of our wet cannot be sent to the areas suffering wildfires. Hope no boomers are affected by the fires or smoke. Had a wonderful time in KS with my sons. It was a short visit, only four full days, but greatly appreciated! I hope one or both will be able to come here for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas but we’ll see. It’s not like when they were younger and had holidays off from college. And it’s almost impossible now for us to go there together as mom isn’t doing very well right now. A trip would be too much for her.
Bluelady, good to hear from you. Jaba, hope you’re feeling much better now. Terriamn, you and your family remain in my thoughts. Love all the quilting and piecing pix that have been posted here and on Waves. Good work, everyone. :) Got to run. I’ve got a yoga class this morning. The studio is closing down in a couple of weeks so I’m going to have to find a new place. Oh, well. I’ll find one. Take care everyone! |
Janice same with my oldest granddaughter. She accepted a job at the zoo in Wichita once she graduated college. She just managed to change shifts with a few coworkers and came home for 4 days. Our first time seeing her since she graduated last summer. Thankfully it’s Looking good for her to come home at Christmas. Now if only my son can make it back

Terriamn, it was so much simpler when the "kids" were young...:)

We are looking forward to having my DH’s son here during college break. This will be the first time he sees our new home.

Darcy Shannon that sounds wonderful
My oldest just emailed no pressure Mom but I think my friends so and so don’t have any place to go for Thanksgiving. You always love extra people what do you think? Replied let me think on it, have so much going on. Sounds better then house is a disaster, I am exhausted and just don’t feel up to extra people. Talk about bad timing |
We are back in Wisconsin for the holidays. I can't believe we left warm Alabama to come back to the north to freeze our hinney's!!!
Terri, I had to laugh about your son wanting to bring home his friends for Thanksgiving. When our daughter was in college she wanted to bring home several other students that didn't have anywhere to go. I just numbly said sure no one should be alone on Thanksgiving. As it turned out, the Dean of the college had them to his house, which I understand his family did routinely for the different holidays. Bit the bullet on that one! Good luck, let us know how this turns out for you:). |
While my older son was in college, he always brought home his friends for Thanksgiving. Many lived far away, and couldn't go home for both TG and Christmas, so they were around for TG. It gave us a chance to get to know his college friends, most of which became lifelong friends.
I have a wrecked house to clean and declutter (translation: put all my sewing stuff away). Also have all the food to cook, and get the Christmas tree up. The kids will only be here for TG, we will have Christmas at my daughter's in Memphis, so this is the only chance to enjoy the tree here. |
