Janice, please make that suggestion to your Post Master! I like the way you think. LOL

At this point I have completely forgotten which of my fabrics I sent for which group. Whichever group that the yellow roses shows up in, you can add some matching green to it too. I know I ask for matching yellows, but I've made myself some blocks and they're just blahing out. They need some green added. Fifty lashes with a wet noodle for me.
On a very proud great-gramma moment: My Joely had her dance and gymnastics recital Saturday night and she won a Summer Scholarship! None of us were expecting this, not even her. She was dumbfounded when they called her name. We are so very proud of her. Out of the entire school, not bad for a four year old! (IMHO!) |
Big bummer SBG and Libster, I would be so disappointed too. We wait to have our packages show up only to find out they have taken a scenic route. Hope they are back and in your hands real soon.

Libster congratulations to your great granddaughter.
Our regular mailman must be on vacation, my package and one for dh was sitting on the front steps. We have that problem with Amazon but rarely with USPS I am surprised the packages have gone so far astray. |
My package arrived-I’ve counted bags twice and have 19. Now to read the notes and look at my pretties!!

At what point does a tone on tone become a print? Before I finish cutting. But now I see Lib has asked for green, so maybe i’ll Go back & see if I have a matching one. But back to the question, if you can see this well enough experienced boomers, does this qualify as a tone on tone? (My fine ironing skills show up in the pic) Wow Libster. At 4 yrs old, what an accomplishment. Congrats. |
Congrats for Joely, Libster! How fun for her to win.
GramE, your Libster block is looking beautiful. On my computer, the pale yellows almost look solid, but on one piece I can see some faint flowers. I'd consider that tone-on-tone. The gray background is definitely tone on tone, (but then that might just be a fabric you laid your pieces on.) I hope no one took my comment about thrashing a Georgia postal worker literally. (Actually someone did!) It was meant to be in jest.... Looking for my and Libster's blocks to come home tomorrow. I wanna play! :) |
So..... it’s 8pm here and still no mail. My package is “out for delivery” but that means very little these days. We are having quite a time ladies!

I didn’t want to cut anymore until I got an opinion on the tone on tone question. But Libster is now looking for green, I have loads of green. |

GramE I call those TOT.
I finished my first block today. Joan I couldn't pass up on your repeats, and your fabric request was a no brainer WOW, so yours was first up for me. Here it is. Pamela, I am positively salivating at your packet, I didn't realize you were sending a print, stripe and dot all it one, I am going to have to ponder that print for a minute to choose the best areas for fussy cutting. |
