It's looking good, Janice! Love the star setting.

I finished the sweater for my daughter's baby. She picked out this pattern about 6 years ago, and I told her I'd make it for her if she ever had a baby. We don't know the gender yet, but she says she will put it on either a girl or a boy. :o

Oh, thank you! I was a knitter long before I became a quilter, but quilting has really overshadowed everything else.

Sewbiz, I love the sweater! It is fabulous! I'm going to vicariously be a grandma along with you as I forsee a long wait for myself! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Janice, incredible quilt. 12 years seems so long, BUT as I look around the house I have lots of unfinished 12 year old projects. Not sure how time slips away.

And thanks for the thoughts on the unfinished blocks. Love the idea of a donation quilt, but agree to just think positive thoughts about all blocks being done. Life is good.

Girl, there ain't nothing you can't do, is there? That sweater is just over the top. I love it. It would take me five years to knit something like that, that's how slow I am at knitting. Your grandbaby is going to be stylin'!

Sbg, darling sweater! These days people aren’t sticking to the traditional blue and pink so this is perfect for any lucky baby.

It took a ridiculous amount of time to make the first border go on correctly. Hours. I had a total brain block. Then, bam! The next three went on in minutes. Will finish the remaining 4 tomorrow and post a pic. Looks pretty good considering how rough the blocks are.
