Jaba and Have4Boys -- those grands are precious!! So glad to hear that you are on your way to Florida, Jaba!
My last block is for Terriamn. It is horribly wrinkled as I had to take it to work and mail it from there to get it to Janice on time. I thought a dresden plate type pattern would work well for the fabric. It was fun trying to make hexies to augment the plate. I've never tried either before so please forgive these novice hands. But I sure loved the process!! Thank you all for my beautiful blocks and for keeping my creative juices flowing! Now to make quilts! Three Booms worth of quilts before I will join up again. I promise to lurk and cheer you Boomers on! Giant hugs to all of you. |
That block for Terri is so cute, Ibex. Get those quilts made so you can play again!

Ibex thanks for the block and going out of your comfort zone to create it. Love the block

Please handle any discussion and donation of blocks directly with SBG through PM. It is not part of the boom swap and is completely optional. Thank you!

Good morning, Waves! Ibex94, I forgot to add your block for Terriamn to the gallery. Will do that later today.
I will be spending the day at home. Mom's taken a bit of an unpleasant turn this weekend so I'll be around except for a doc appt later today. I hope to make progress on the Boom blocks that I didn't make on Saturday or Sunday. Still on target for a Saturday shipping if all goes well. Am awaiting confirmation of QM shipping today per her email of last week. In the meantime, there's still lots of work ahead of me. FYI, several people didn't put their names on the packages as the maker so I'll do that for you. In the future, please try to remember to do that as it saves me a lot of time. (Nobody call themselves out...I'll never tell so you don't have to either!) :) Thanks! |
Janice thank you for being such a great host. Have been in several swaps where the host wasn’t consistent in her directions, didn’t keep members to task and the entire swaps were so disorganized it left a bad taste in my mouth for swapping. I fully appreciate all your time and effort to keep this swap running so smoothly and enjoyable.

I would Never want to go back to the old way where we mailed them directly to the swapper..what a pain that was. I much enjoy having them all together in one envelope. Before there were times I didn't get 2-3 blocks back per swap. I know its a lot of extra work to have to sort but it IS appreciated!! Now the hard part..picking out fabric for the next one. buy more or use what I have??? Ugh

Woo hoo! This day started poorly and now things are looking up. Way up! I’ve gotten three pieces of excellent news, the last of which is that, true to her word, QuilterMomma shipped today. I have the tracking number. If the postal service is on the ball, I may actually ship ahead of schedule. Happy dance, happy dance! Who’s going to twirl around the room with me???
