For JaniceMcC. :) Technically the block's name is "Blue Moon", but in this case, I think it should be "Yellow Sun". :D

Good morning, Waves! This group is starting off fast! Hav4boys and Moonrise, I love the blocks you made for me. Hav, 2 color blocks are my favorites and yours is wonderful. Thank you. And Moon, what a great use of the yellow! Thank you! Love the sun. :)

I’m another one who avoids this kind of block as the points seldom line up well enough. Thanks for the info Kass. Will give it a try again. And hav, I’m guessing you swirled the center as well? Looks like it.

I don't know how H4B does it, but when I am doing an 8 point meet I first do the halves (4 and 4) then when I join the halves I start in the middle and sew to the edge, then turn it over and start in the middle and sew to the other edge.

The book has templates in it that can be traced or photocopied, so the ruler isn't absolutely critical, but it's worth the money (IMO) for the convenience. Edited to add: Here's a link that tells more about it. :) https://www.meandmysisterdesigns.com...dresden-ruler/ |
