I was just bopping around on Pintrest and I bumped into the cutest 12.5" block and thought I would share with the boomers:

The link takes you straight to the pdf instructions.

I will post this in both threads since not everyone keeps up with both.

That's an adorable sunflower block for a lot of scrappy yellows! Thanks for sharing it.

Pretty batik block, Annt. Nice fussy cutting of the animals!

Its so hot today I decided to work on some pretty Christmas fabric of Swebizgirl's. Made this block, so pretty ,I was totally happy with it then,,, I trimmed it down to a perfect 12" OMG! not 12.5" I cant believe I did that. My brain is mush. So now I have to take it apart and get creative

Boom Biz - shipping

So quite a few of you are finishing up your blocks so let's go ahead and open a shipping window for those of you who want to send them early. Please shoot for an arrival date at my address of no sooner than August 20 and no later than August 31. Those dates I'm pretty much guaranteed to be here or at least someone else will be here to receive them. If your packages cannot arrive before August 31, please hold them until the next shipping window opens. Make note, those are arrival dates. Please be sure to send me your tracking number when you ship. I rely on you to do that so I know they are on the way. Thanks!

Terrific block, Annt. Love it!

Joanelizbay, can you see the animals in your block?

This is my second attempt at a response to this...I hadn't paid enough attention to your pic. Coull, believe me, this happens all the time. Walk away, and you'll find a way to be creative. Adding one quarter inch to the outside will likely only cause problems when it comes time to quilt it so if you wish to add fabric, do it to the inside of the block, leaving the outside wider. It's ok. You'll either fix this one or make a new one that might even be better! Let us know if you need help.

No sewing fir ne this weekend as we are back in Iowa for my hubby's family reunion.

Right there with you, Mona G. I’ve got two blocks cut out but won’t get to sew them until late next week. I’ve only got four or five left I believe, including yours. I’ve got a dark blue batik from you. It’s beautiful. This round I’ve been able to use my batiks several times in blocks. I love them. :)
