Boom Biz - tracking numbers
Just a reminder to please send me tracking info as soon as you get it. DH receives packages frequently and unless I have your tracking numbers, I cannot be certain they're Boom blocks. Please remember to email me the number. Thank you! BTW, I've got a handful of packages in already and three more are on the way. Woo hoo! You should have your blocks about a month from now. I hope to see lots of quilts start popping up here before Boom 22 begins!

Joanelizbay, Such a beautiful quilt! I looked back and couldn't find this fabric although it looks familiar to me. I'll check again another time. If it's Boom 11 or later, I'll find it. :)

It was. I thought it was older than that and I didn’t look at the most recent swap pix. Lol

So...it’s been a rough day in GeorgiaLand. One friend “lost” her 29 year old son, father of a 4 year old, to a drug overdose. Lost? No, stolen by addiction. She’s apparently doing ok right now. Another friend learned today she has Parkinson’s Disease. She’s in her early 60s and has probably had it for years. She’s got a great attitude and isn’t going to let this stop her from enjoying life for as long as possible. They’re both clearly strong women. They're persevering but their news has hit me like a Mack truck. I just want to cry. In fact I did. Well, I’d better suck it up bc I’ll see both at services for the young man on Friday. And to think I was complaining about my minor aches and pains early today.

Hugs to you Janice and to your friends. Such sad news about your friend's son. We have such an addiction problem in our country, I think we all know it but when it hits so close to home its always like a slap in the face.

So sorry Janice. Will pray for your two friends and the little girl who lost her daddy. We are to 'bear each other's burdens'... but life can really hit you hard sometimes. Just goes to show us that no matter how hard we have it, someone else always has it harder. I'm sure it means a lot to these women that you care.
We got to see both of our babies today, via sonograms. My daughter got the 3D kind, and tho she's only 8 weeks along, we could see that the baby looks like her and is already sucking it's thumb! (DD was a big thumb sucker, til she was about 4 or 5...). DIL had a regular sonogram, so we couldn't see as much detail. But we saw our little tadpoles! So exciting. |
