I went to Shipshewana this morning for a quilt group meeting and what do you know, I found my Boom fabric on the shelf. Now I know where I got it. ;) Nope did not purchase more only a half yard of a random fabric that jumped into my arms and some Aurifiil thread. Must use the discount on something! Trying to use what fabric is all ready at hand in my sewing room.
Maybe some block sewing this evening. |
John Wayne museum was good. Quilt museum was closed for change of exhibits 😞
So I am spending time sorting out my patterns |
Is there a Shipsewana Michigan or did you go to Indiana? Lots of wonderful memories of Shipsewana Indiana
Sorry the museum was closed TG |

That’s beautiful, Terr. I’m sure it was easier with the right rulers.
Here is a block for you, Terri. Hope you like this bright block. |

Wonderful new blocks today. I’ll add them to the gallery tomorrow morning.
I spent the day on the boom 28 quilt, part 2. Played with the arrangement endlessly and threw up my hands and what it is, is what it is. Just finished the machine binding and it came out great, much better than my first two. I really slowed down and watched every stitch. Happy with the results. It’s below. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this quilt! And boy, I’ll never say again that Aurifil is linty after using a blue Mettler on the sashings and binding. Good grief! I’ll be cleaning that out forever. lol. Got most of it, and oiled the machine. She deserved it after this one. Tomorrow I hope to quilt my little scrappy quilt. We’re expecting rain overnight in the mountains from the tropical storm. Very unusual. Hope it isn’t bad. Hope you all have a pleasant evening. |
Looks great Janice. I get so frustrated trying to sew that binding down.
|
That’s the way I felt, too. Slowing down is the key for me. I still like to bind by hand too but it takes so darn long!
