I learned to piece doing boom swaps and that is the truth. So whatever your skill level is, just do your best! It took me an entire boom to be able to come out to the right size...it was not pretty...lol! I love doing them, I think I am addicted....

On 8/24 I received F8's from Abby's Mom, Girlscouts1, OK Darla, Wandalou, and Wendiq.

Received a F8th from CharlotteMarie yesterday......9 received......I'm looking for appropriate blocks to make. This is fun already.....love getting mail....:)

I still have some swelling in my eye, so will not be doing much in the way of posting or sewing probably for another week. My brain is full of ideas and am chomping at the bit to get started. I know you are a patient group. I will get finished, just not liking the waiting part.

Kendra... Greenbush is an itty bitty town and it is entirely likely that I will get your squishy.

I posted on the other board that I mailed all my squishies on Saturday, and I put .65 on them. Keep an eye out. :)

My Froggie Fabric
 

THis is my froggie fabric:

I ran out of this frog fabric and I then sent out the matching fabrics I had. Some people did not get the square of the frogs I meant to send out to everyone who didn't get the froggies. I bought all my lqs had of this fabric so that is why you may have received the purple, green or blue fabric from me. Just make a simple block with what you have there and it will be fine.

I think it is going to be really cute!

Oh thank you...for me it is MOSTLY idiot proof. Notice I say mostly. There are the occasions where I forget to pin down the tail of the fabric and I wind up sewing it in. Seam ripper does not stand a chance!

Also, for those who do not know...my DH last name is Fear. I realized my nickname might seem sort of menacing, but if I use my widely known name, the trolls will find me and wreak havoc on this place.

My grandson who will be three in Oct. just screamed- MONKEY when he saw it. I asked him if he wanted a monkey blanket when all the blocks came. He said Yes please !

This is my first block......EVER!. This my first Boom swap.....EVER! It is for girlscout1 and I hope to get it out in the mail tomorrow or Wed. Since it is a directional design, perhaps I should have chosen a different block, but I didn't and it is what it is.....

I love that fabric and feel that design is great for it!

Hi all... I just got back into town and this is the first chance that I have had to check on this swap.. My daughter had a baby on August 18th and I had to spend the last week and a half with her.. (Hard job , but someone had to do it. :o ) She was a couple of days late but finally went into labor on the 18th. She had a beautiful baby boy (her 3rd..she has 2 girls 4& 2 ) weighing in at a whopping 10 lb 9 oz . and no she didn't have a C-section .all is well and what a cutie..

When I got home, I found 7 F8's in my mail.. Charlotte, Carol, Mikayla, Mary, Kendra, Wanda And Wendi.. thank you.. Can't wait. I'll try and get mine mailed out soon.

Oooh, I just found another stack of mail... 4 more F8's from Joan, Barbara, Diana and Marion ..That 11 in all. I hope to get mine out soon but being gone 1 1/2 weeks , I have sooooo much to do .. work ( I'm self employed) and house work need to take first priority .. Not my idea but my husband.. oh well I'll try to get to it tonight.:eek:
