Daisey, I love your fabric! I just hate to cut it! I have to let that one "talk to me" I would hate to mess it up.

I think its at Hobby Lobby believe it or not they have some good fabric and some bad fabric...I have found alot of quilt store fabric there,,,some that I ordered from quilt stores.. I think they still have it too! I was in there a few weeks ago. I decided this time around not to use my very best fabrics until I saw what happened. I have heard good things about these booms but wanted to use up stash that I didnt have plans for..

I'm also a dyer; its my job. I dye for fabric stores and I dye bamboo clothing.
A note about the post office: They usually don't charge by the weight, but by the thickness of the envelope. If it doesn't slip through their 1/4" slot, its sometimes considered a parcel, and you pay a lot more!! Sorry I have been quiet I was in the ER on Monday and have been home since trying to get my eyes functioning right along with my head to stop feeling like someone has it in the largest vice grip in the world! Has been a rough time but I just wanted to let you know I am here and alive just can't be at the computer long.

I had to rip out longarm quilting because I did not like which direction my feathers went ugggghhhhhh. have to reload the quilt and do it again. Then labels, clear bags, and finally drop off at location. Whew, looking forward to that day. Now if I can resist the urge to think I have to make a different wearable art garment for the show and contain it till after Saturday, I will be ok, otherwise OCD will take over and I will make me a new coat with the fabric my daughter gave me for my birthday, must resist urge, must resist urge, must resist urge. |
Tip for dyeing: Use Procion MX Dyes.
Another tip: Don't use colors opposite each other, like red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple. If you do, you get 'mud' as your color. |
