Roseysue I got your fat8 day. Lilacs are my favorite summer bush. In Chattanooga, I had bushes 10' tall but down here in coastal Ga, it is just to hot for them.

The 1st one is from lestrong and the 2nd from ljdugas. Love them both ladies and they look fabulous with the other blocks so far. Thank you so much, they are perfect...Sorry not just quite with it today, lots of other things interferring right now.

I had several blocks arrive in today. I've got them posted in the link below. My son helpfully threw the envelopes (yay for doing chores!) before I got to write this post - but I did get my spreadsheet updated (also posted at the link below - follow the link & click the button on the page). I'm getting ready to go take my state certification exams for student teaching on Saturday and this is the first break I've taken since yesterday to deal with anything "sewing." The blocks are all looking great!

Im so aggravated. I printed out some paper piecing patterns to make some blocks but for whatever reason none of the printouts are the right size. Guess I will have to ask hubby what i did wrong :(

Hi Ladies, my mother, LeStrong601 wanted me to post on here that she got f8th from Gaijin today. My mother doesn't get on the site as it confuses her so I do most of the posting for her per her verbal instructions. Hope you ladies don't mind, maybe one day I can get her to figure it out. She really is enjoying this swap though. Making the different blocks daily gives her some variety which she likes.

It is so super cute. Love the tiger!

Melinda - I think it is wonderful that she and you get to quilt together and share this time. Maybe she can at least read along some of our wacky comments and look at the beautiful blocks that are made. They give me so much inspiration!

Paper piece patterns finally printed correct and now working on blocks while watching the snow fall and fall and fall lol

Oh yea.......LOL....I forgot the reason I signed on.......I mailed all my F8's off today......I hope everyone receives them ok...I weighed each one and they were all under an ounce so the rate showed .46 (except the int'l ones) If anyone has to pay additional postage I will gladly reimburse you (or send you a stamp)....please let me know.

We have a cold and rainy weekend in sunny California so I'm staying inside to sew and sew...LOL

The snow is coming, the snow is coming.....we are suppose to get 24-30inches. I hope we don't lose power, so I can sew.

Received snowflake fabric from quildintmommy today...waiting for inspiration for it..maybe it would help if April would send some SNOW back to Missouri!!! Too warm for winter here. Received this beautiful block from Country 1 today. Called Monkey Wrench. I love it...

One more block done...if I could share the snow I surely would. I love it actually :) I couldn't imagine living somewhere that had no snow...

found some very pretty paper pieced blocks of Quilters Cache--unfortunately after using one of them to make one of the blocks, i have decided not to use any paper pieced patterns from there without drawing them out on freezer paper and double checking the accuracy. One i used last night for a block was off by whole inch so had to add a border around block to get correct size. today's block i completed was another paper pieced one but i graphed it out first and am I glad i did as their pattern was off by a quarter inch on each piece!!!

If you are printing from your computer browser window it could be the window resizing it to fit to view. If you click on the paper piece template and hover your mouse over if you have the + magnifying glass than it is smaller than it should be. Click on it, enlarge & then print and it should be right as rain :) (Ask me how I know this one?? LOLOL)

Hi. I have recieved f8's from lovingizabella, quiltingmommy, jaba, & gaijin. Love them and can't wait to great to start making blocks!. My husband made it to the post office today. Stateside weighed in and went out with a first class stamp! Took a little more for Canada and Japan! Keep your eyes peeled!
