I got a beautiful star block today from QuilterMomma. I love it. Thank you so much for swapping with me. I've posted a pic of it in my album.

This is the way I am setting up my finished blocks. They end up being a 20.5" square. I purposely put 1/2" between the corner of the 12" block and the sashing strips.... hoping the blocks will float up. And check out that sashing material. I found it in the fat quarter bundles at Joann's Fabric store. Couldn't have done any better than these...

well today I have started my blocks... I have been late on this and plan on sewing like the dickens.... the company I work for decided to let us all go on Friday the 13th and close the business... nice of them to give us any notice.... so I will have all the time in the world..

Girliegirl- I'm so sorry to hear your news. Some warning would have been nice and the decent thing to do. At least you could have started preparing that way. Shame on them!
