you know, Sheri, I had said it would be cool to make one of those fancy HST quilts pictured in Edyta Sitar's "Friendship Triangles" .... then today I was picturing myself backing all of the 750 squares and creating 1500 HSTs.... one square at a time:shock: I think I was nuts!!!! Squares are our friends!

Gus,
Here's a larger picture of my avatar. It is made from leftover corners of flying geese. It's resting with my sweet MotherInLaw who passed last October. Some have seen it. I have enough HSTs still to make me one and my SisterInLaw one as well. Each block represents a quilt I made for one of the Grandchildren. That's why you see labels on them.

Hi SheriR and everyone.
I mailed candy blocks to you yesterday(Thursday). I am so excited to be doing this first exchange. September is my birthday month and I am also in the Birthday Candy Swap. I will be getting enough Candy to make the Trip Around The World quilt which has been an ambition of mine for a while. This is just the push I have needed to get it going. I hope you all have wonderful ideas for your Candy and may each of you have a glorious day.

SheriR, your quilt looks ready to cuddle up in when the weather chills out, which I hope is sooner than later! Whew, it's hot here in OK!

Hi, Mine will be in the mail early next week, Just returned home after spending 10 days with my GK's ( 6 & 9 yo ) in NC and didn't have time to finish my cross cutting... they wore me out.

I am in a time crunch, as I have been covering for the last month, but I got everything cut. I just have to label, and ship.. I will get it to you on time.. I have to admit that the Go did cut down the cutting time. I have to figure what else to use it for.

I mailed mine out today. I got to the post office 30 minutes before it closed! Whew! Cutting all those squares put me in the mood so I've been using candy from previous swaps today. I'm making split nine patch blocks. They are turning out really nice. I'll make some more and then play with the layout of the blocks.

Mine will be mailed out on Tuesday for sure. I just need to cut out the 5 twist squares, then prepare the package and off to the post office on Tuesday. I'm so looking forward to seeing and planning and making my quilts from my swaps this year. I figure I will do this in November, after I receive all my blocks that I swap for this year. This was the third swap for this year from this board. So many quilt patterns to choice from. Decisions, decisions? But so much fun planning and thinking. Winter projects for sure.
