I found an interesting idea for a Christmas tree using the Dear Jane blocks. The pattern I saw in my magazine does not use DJ blocks but it is so similar it gave me this idea. So to avoid copyright problems I designed this on my EQ instead of copying the picture I saw. I simplified it some and this is not as intricate as the picture but I thought this would make a great wall hanging

I could do the 25 blocks but I don't know about the triangles. I think I would get bored with it before I got it done. I might consider it later on this winter maybe. It would be an interesting thing to put on my online store. I have no idea what I would charge for some thing like that tho. Something to think about!

Great idea Rhonda! So far I'm thinking a table cloth as soon as I figure out what color sashing I want.

The tree is similar to the one in my magazine but I wish I could show you that one. It is not a DJ but she used blocks that are very similar but more intricate and tiny within the blocks. She also did some applique on it. She appliqued a poinsettia type leaf on the edges of the tree an it gives it a mmore jaggged look than the straight one I did. If anyone wants to see it I could send you a pic if you email me. My email is in my signature. I just don't want to compromise the copyright by putting it online.
