Well The last mini has crossed the finish line. Jan R. has sent me a wonderful mini that is over a yard long!:D Believe me Jan, I will put this mini to good use. The colors are perfect in my living room. It has found a good home.
Jan is so busy so I am hopefully saving her some time by posting a picture of the the quilt she received. "Can't see the forest for the Trees" I also used Robert Frost as my inspiration. I love this poem. Stopping by the Woods on a snowy Evening Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farm house near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. Peace to all. |
very nice ube....I love Frost as well. I really understood this poem years ago when MrOk and I were looking at a farmstead to buy. The land around it was divided in little 10 A narrow parcels of wooded land...wood lots for the townspeople to cut for heat, I thought. We didn't buy the farmstead, "and that has made all the difference"

this is the FQ of the Maori design fabric I sent to lovethemgreys. There is a church in Rotarua NZ with these woven leaves and grasses for walls. This is traditional wall designs for important buildings.
The tree mini was my interpretation of a Norfolk Pine that grows in NZ. Mim |
