LindaR, glad it's u and not me!

Crafty Darlene 02-08-2013 07:37 AM

Really beautiful Linda R! If we ever had that here we would all love it! LOL! Where in Michigan are you? My DH is from the UP.

luvstoquilt 02-08-2013 07:47 AM

Oh Linda..that is breathtakingly beautiful but glad it isn't here since I would be the one with the shovel. Krystyna I hope you can stand firm and get the money you deserve. I hope nothing terrible happens today in that storm! It is icy here today though I cannot complain when I read and see on TV what some of the world is experiencing. Friends were flying in today but flights to Ohare are canceled so trip is delayed (and my house is CLEAN!). I have been watching a commercial about Ariz. and wonder if that would be a good place to try...hmmmm...well I won't be selling my home any time soon so it is just wishful thinking at this point.

Lori I hope today with Marty was a good one. Thoughts are with you both.

hav4boys 02-08-2013 07:55 AM

LindaR,

What a gorgeous scene. Would like to visit, but not live in it. Glad for my California weather.

Okay,

Another set of clues:

SP #1 - Your least favorite notion is a seam ripper and you like to crochet.

SP #2 - You have a strong aversion to butterscotch and you love gardening.

Have a wonderful day all.

Nancy in Louisiana 02-08-2013 08:35 AM

Uh Jill -- please keep those creepy-crawlies on your side of the country.

Quilty-Louise 02-08-2013 08:45 AM

I think that I am going to live although for a few days really had
to wonder about that.

Still not 100% up to par but at least I am out of bed for more than
10 minutes at a time.

Talk more later think I am finally hungry.

luvstoquilt 02-08-2013 08:52 AM

Alas, being under the weather has NEVER affected my appitite! Feel better Louise...I hope you have people around to wait on you.

I was going to say the same thing. She is a darling!

Starshine,
I really did think that Ohio was the only state with the cardinal as the state bird. I guess I better stop quilting and do some reading. :( But I bet we are the only ones with Hang on Sloopy as the state rock n' roll song!

The cardinal is also our (VA) state bird.

I am so happy with my package... thank you so much.

I will keep my eyes peeled too on that, we have a lot of estate sales during the summer.

queenof2802 02-08-2013 12:01 PM

I think I'm in trouble. I overspent for my sp package! it's hard to keep it under 10 dollars. I hope to the postal Monday, but we'll seez

dabbler312 02-08-2013 12:15 PM

My secret pal was granted three wishes this month; do you remember what you were requesting?

mimim 02-08-2013 12:39 PM

My package went north today--somewhere a lot colder than here. And I've read that your state doesn't even have any of your state animal!

dabbler312 02-08-2013 01:09 PM

Secret Pal - here is a clue for you - You live in a large city and if I googlemap your address I see a beautiful house.

It is easy to go over the $10.00 limit. You don't get much now, all of the quilt shops have raised their prices due to the price of cotton. I know you aren't suppose to go over, but I always do.

Me too. It would hardly be a package if I stayed under $10. I do try to be frugal, does that count?

I always do, i've started collecting parts to make things and basic things on sale, but I refuse to spend more in postage than a package is worth!

SewMomma66 02-08-2013 04:37 PM

I believe there are 6 states with the cardinal as their state bird. But I could be wrong.

jaba 02-08-2013 06:07 PM

clsurz I'm so glad you liked it. I had fun putting it together for you. Very limited shopping here, just wish I could have filled in a few more of your wants. But I do love doing these swaps, like a little surprise each month...

catjo 02-08-2013 06:16 PM

For my SP your package went out today. It is currently 63 degrees where you are located at and the other clue your zip code adds up to 15.

LAQUITA 02-08-2013 06:18 PM

And I did!

Kimberly,
I LOVE the awesome box you sent me. Today had been a kind of rough day, and it was so nice to have the box waiting for me when I got home. It was the highlight to my day!
For those of you wondering what was in my awesome package...
I got 3 different colors of batiks , butterfly, Aunt MArtha's transfers, (I think I'' use these for work on a pillow case , great handwork!) Embroidery floss is in colors that I don't already have.
And the life savers, are going in my bag for church.

She sent me 2 differnet kinds of rulers, I didn't have either of the rulers , and I am getting used to piecing , so these will be a huge help!

It was a great package!
THANK YOU so very much for your thoughtfulness in trying to include so much!
:) :) :)

Lori Peercy 02-08-2013 08:01 PM

Krystyna it was very hard to leave all 3 of them. I will have to post a picture of the other 2, Austin 8 and Natalie 5. Today was a good day at the Cancer Center. Everything looks good and the Dr said she is doing great! I take her back again on March 22nd. The funny thing was that she took her "Chemo Quilt" with her even though we were only getting the bone strengthing medicine Zometa and only takes 20 minutes. She has taken her quilt with her every time she went for treatment. She loves Explaining that the blocks come from all over the world!

I hope that the March Swap Sign Up has already started by then, as I will be gone all day again.

brenda21 02-08-2013 10:28 PM

I just found out the package that I posted pics of was sent to me by happystitchermm.....thanks again!!

MsCupid, I make the stilettoes out of turkey basters, but they aren't that hard to make and you probably could do them yourself. PM me if you need help in doing them.

Krystyna 02-09-2013 05:45 AM

Brenda, what a cute package you received. And Sue, that egg is toooo cute!
Lori, can't wait to see the other two grandbabies. I'm glad Marty is doing well and so happy that the chemo quilt is getting good use and lifting spirits!

dabbler312 02-09-2013 06:50 AM

Awesome packages so far - love all the handmade items; you're a crafty bunch.

Secret pal another clue - postman said your package needed a passport.
