we just put in a pool about a week ago, and I prayed for rain. Here in Tn no one will come and fill the pool for you, you have to do it with your own water. Anyway we are on a well, needless to say it took us almost a week to fill the darn thing and our well might be going dry. Yesterday started raining and hasn;t hardly quit. Why didn't this happen a week ago and save our well. So it will more than likely be city water and I really didn't want that. But hey I got my pool filled.

Grandma Peg 07-04-2013 03:13 PM

Ladybug hope things get better soon.
SP I have had you before for my SP. You live SW of me.

paintmejudy 07-04-2013 03:49 PM

Oh boy, send some of that rain waaaaay west, we are dry as a bone and no rain in sight, and it is HOTHOTHOT.

ladybug I'm in the SW area of FL and I agree we have had rain for the last week and a half. I have been blessed that there isn't any flooding where I am but the thunder and lightning just keeps going. We're supposed to see sun on Sat. and I hope so cause I plan on going fishing!

SP1

1. Your town is next to my home state.

2. Your town hosts a yearly fair that first started in 1888.

3. Your town is home to a company that created one of the first _ _ _ _.

SP2

1. Your state is above my home state where I was born.

2. Your city is only 3.70 sq miles-and I thought my town was small, mine is only 3 sq miles.

3. That is about it for your town.

Sp3

1. Your town was named in 1707 by Nanning Harmansen

2. There is a Tavern listed on the National Register Of Historic Places

3. Can't find any famous people from your area

Sp's your package will be in the mail on the morrow. Going down the mountain to the Post Office myself. I usually do it at home but decided to take them myself. Hope you enjoy everything.

brenda21 07-04-2013 10:40 PM

I know you have told me beflre but where do you live here in FL.... We are getting rain this AM but it didn't start till 4 AM quit for awhile last night, friends on the beach where we lived have 6 inches in their place on their way down from Ohio...

quiltnut4ever 07-05-2013 08:21 AM

Ladybug, I'm in Cape Coral. We're dry for now but expecting more rain :(

luvstoquilt 07-05-2013 08:46 AM

Wow...I was far behind on reading all of this! I have a great person this month and while I could drive to her house in about 5 1/2 hours if I managed to follow the GPS I am wondering how long it will take the Post Office to deliver!!!! We like almost all of the same thing....colors and even a few collections. She has NO cat and no allergies. That is all the clues I will share because I think I have given away more than enough!

Grandma Peg 07-05-2013 10:09 AM

Luvstoquilt, I could be your SP, or maybe Brenda.

Ladybug 1938 07-05-2013 03:08 PM

Quilty-Louise 07-05-2013 03:52 PM

I sure miss swapping this month with you all. I only have 1 swap that
I am in and I had already signed up and received my partners name by
the time my dad passed so I didn't want to back out of that swap.

Yesterday was a bittersweet, painful and tough day, as it was the first
holiday without my dad.
I waited all day for my phone to ring with it being dad asking "What are
your plans for today?". This would always end up being a call I received
between 4am and 7am and more often than not I would still be asleep.

I will TRY to join you again for August.

Quilty-HUGS and love to you all and thank you for the kind words of
love, sympathies and prayers for my family.

Louise

fayzer 07-05-2013 05:12 PM

This could definitely be me.

Been at my husbands family in GA and it rained the entire week. Their yard is like a marsh, unbelievable. Not one day did it not rain, and it rained the entire day when it did. Came back home and found my plants need watering. Crazy weather. Have to catch up on all the posts.

verna2197 07-05-2013 07:41 PM

We started putting the deck up around the pool and it was a muddy mess. I don't like playing in the mud and getting it all over me.

Sp's sorry I lied I didn't get to the Post Office today, since I was in the mud.

queenof2802 07-05-2013 07:58 PM

I checked on my order today. Should arrive here on Wed. Everything else is ready to go. :)

Rain, rain go away!! It has rained off and on here for the past week. Tennessee usually has hot and humid summers. This one is def not the normal. I hope that the rain is finished for a while, but I doubt it.

Jamimclaugh 07-05-2013 08:57 PM

Waiting for part of the package to come in the mail but otherwise all set for mailing soon!

Wonnie 07-05-2013 10:37 PM

Are you sure you don't have a teensy, weensy allergy and maybe a soft, puffy , stuffed doggie somewhere moonrise?

homecaregiver 07-06-2013 04:43 AM

My SP lives on the near an ocean and does not have a dog and has allergies. Hope not to many clues given. This weekend I will be working on putting my package together.
Love this swap and meeting all you wonderful swappers.
Pat

Springfield, TN - I have family in Springfield!! My parents were born and grew up in Portland. Spent many summers in that area.

You are right - this summer has most definitely not been normal! I could kinda get used to this.

It hardens back up in the fridge. Can't tell you how many misshapen chocolate bars I've eaten. They still taste good!
