My postcard is winging it's way to VA. Hope my partner likes it and can take pictures to post. I forgot, I have so many things going on right now and it just slipped my mind.

CindyA, we would love to have you. I will post August sign ups around the 20th of the month. The theme is our feathered friends. Anything birds.

Oh, yay!! I have just the right fabric for this. :) I have never done a postcard. Are you all putting paper to make it stiff? Also, what dimensions are you making it?

This will be fun, I'll stay on the lookout for the sign up for Aug.

Hi CindyA,

We are making our postcards a general size of 4 x 6. Give or take a bit one way or the other.

Some people use cardstock for the backs of there postcards, some people use muslin. Peltex or heavy duty stabilizer or cardboard for the middle layer will help stiffen the postcard. There are many free tutorials on the Quiltboard, Pinterest or Google. Here is a link to the March Postcard Swap, Comment #2 has somemore info as well. http://www.quiltingboard.com/member-...p-t261920.html

Please remember, there is not just one way to make a postcard. You can substitute different things to make them more affordable. I didn't find a way I was happy with until about my 4th or 5th postcard. There was some trial and error involved.

Having FUN is really the most important thing. If your happy with it, your partner will be happy.:)
