I've been off the board for a couple of days and I'm trying to catch up on what's going on. What is going on? I'm seeing a lot about honey, jam and booms. Looks like I'm going to have to go back and read carefully because I'm kind of lost here. Will now go back and catch up.

Alrighty, finally a quiet moment to myself so I can post. Got my pals name and she lives south of me and her zip code equal 18. This is going to be so fun shopping for her because she does something I dont know much about and now I have to learn about it in order to shop. Love learning new things. More clues later maybe.

Pretty much anything with high acid can be put in a boiling water bath for the standard time -- so peppers in vinegar are fine that way. Anything else, like the tapenade has to be pressure canned. Late in summer I have my canners going around the clock. We're working on figuring out the equipment we need for my son's killer hot sauce. It's fine to can in a jar, but I need to get the equipment to sterilize and fill bottles. It's so hot I can't even have a teeny lick of it.

Krystyna is ever so slowly losing her mind....do not believe anything she tells you...especially if it has to do with monkeys and glitter....

And just in case I get any of you as an SP ... how do you feel about home canned hot peppers -- great on sandwiches -- or tapenade - a mix of eggplant, olives, garlic and other secret items that make a wonderful spread on brioche?

So......what has our chock-full-o-nuts board been up to? Hum-m-m? I can tell you haven't been sewing. Kinda of like me.
I sewed a little yesterday and picked out as much as I sewed. Much more fun to be here instead of behind my ripper. |

sending out pictures of the cabin we stayed in when we went "camping" I call it cabining...... fouton (sp) where Marty slept. bed room where Dorothy (Mart's sister) slept. Bed, dresser and chai rin the livingroom where made by the Amish in the area. kitchen and dining area I slept on the two matresses we brought down from the loft upstairs. note the fire wood, we only took about 8 pieces back home with us and that was only because it rained on the last night. I that got hooked on my hook, thank goodness he got loose! He is a snapping turtle. The cabin has a wrap around porch with 2 rocking chairs on it.

Darlene, I for one, would be thrilled with honey!!! I was planning on sending my pal and some other folks some of my beach plum jam. If they don't like it, they can dump it and use the jar for something!
