Just in case my color requests are causing questions. The quilt they are going in is for my daughter who loves orange. I sent Kaffe and the style of quilt I am doing is all about shading. Use the colors in the fabric, but be sure to shade the color selection. If you don't have colors to coordinate/shade for the block, use orange because that is the focus color of the quilt. Hope that helps with any clarification. Kaffe fabric always blends together and that is what I am trying to do.

NanaKathy55, your block looks like I used a blue with it, but I used a very soft gray and a soft yellow. I'll try taking another picture of that one for you.

Quiltermomma, what exactly do you mean by "shading" the color selection? I have no clue. Did you want us to use a darker shade of colors in the block? Or different shades (values) of one color? Please explain. I already made your block and I hope my color selection works for your quilt, but for the sake of others could you maybe clarify this concept of shading a color selection? Thanks. |

GranE tonight was Caribbean night and the main corse was Caribbean lobster, they are smaller and not as sweet as the east coast lobsters but they are darn good. Chef filled my plate full even when I said stop. Only ate what I was comfortable with. Dh ate all of his and said it feels like he has a bowling ball in his stomach and that man can eat anything. Glad I stopped when I did
