Sheri, glad to hear that you are OK. I was beginning to worry because you hadnt posted for awhile. I will be watching for your package!
The pins that you ladies are getting are beautiful. Can I ask what you do with them? Are they just pretty to look at? How do you make them?

Maybe someone should start a swap with the pins, I would love to have a few by the sounds of it, have never seen them before

I don't know what they call them other than hat pins. I have an antique little jar thingey that has bigger holes in it than a salt shaker and I put mine in that. I could post pictures. The problem with it is there aren't enough holes for all my pins. :(

I didn't know anything about these pins either when I started back in Dec or Jan. I received one from my LJDugas and was hooked. I put mine in my many pincushions. They are lovely little jewels. <3

I bought floral pins off of ebay they come with all sorts of tops (pearls or crystals and other things too I believe). I ordered 2 inch which I felt were too small and upgraded to 3 inch which are just right if I don't get carried away. lol

I have ordered beads off of the internet and also bought them at WalMart. I use E6000 Jewelry and Bead glue but one of my swap partners (whigrose) used a crimper/ring to hold hers on.

Klaws made me one with a shamrock/lucky clover charm on it. SO cute. They are easy peasy to make and relatively inexpensive. Hope this helps!

Received some more beautiful fabrics from Jeanne49! I wish my pic showed the sparkles of some of them, they're all so pretty!!
And a big thank you for the chocolates...from hubby, too:).

It's cloudy and misty outside, and I'm fighting the "creeping crud", so opening your pkg really made my day!

Thank you for everything!

So glad you liked the prints I picked out. Always great to give someone a little brightness in an otherwise cruddy day!

Oh my! Deb.......aka-Patchesnposies... These fqs are beautiful. We swapped florals and Easter. The two vintage Easter prints are half yard cuts. So generous, I'm stunned. So pretty I don't even know what to do with them! The pins are beautiful, even my hubby was in awe. I received two pretty pins in the MugRug swap and some beauties from Mariposa in my 2.5"Candy charm swap. I REALLY need a special pincushion now!

(Your package from me should be to you any day. I'm not sure it will compare to yours....) Thank YOU!!

I don't know if that helps or not. hahaha Easy peasy to make - show me. :) I have just gathered some from different places, but all but 2 are antique. Would love to see a tutorial. I'm not very good at making things unless someone shows me. Dah.

Thank you SherriR for the spring FQs. Absolutely needed. I am doing French Roses pattern class next week and a couple will be used. I have some from other swaps that will also be used.

Glad you received them! That means everyone else should too. :D

What great fat quarters! could you by any chance get a close up of the fabric right behind the bright daisies that you received? I would love to see that print up closer! tried zooming it but it blurred! darn it!

love what you all have sent this month. Its wonderful to see the variety of spring flowers and easter prints being sent. Heaven, I'm in heaven... singing to myself. The sky was a gorgeous red this morning wonder if that means weather is coming in. I sure loved this early spring we received. I have heard from two other people that it always snows on easter here so I think you are most likely correct Jaba. darn it! ok one or two more snows wont be the end of it all but sure do like spring weather. last year we had zero spring at least in the way I would call spring. you know.. flowers.. maybe a bit of rain not snow. clear skys, trees blooming .. that kind of spring lol. No flowers blooming here they would just be snacks for the deer! lol. and doubt much the Christmas trees in my yard will bloom either lol. but I do see get this the grass is starting to come back so it must be getting warmer. hope hope hope! lol

Here's a pic of the beautiful fqs I received from SheriR. She had the great idea to swap 30's Easter colors. We also swapped flowers, Texas wildflowers, too.
Thanks Sheri, as always, I love what you sent!

Oh Kif, you beat me to it. I've been gone all day and am only now posting pics of the swap SheriR sent me. I am wild, crazy about the 30's prints she sent me. I almost swooned! The flowers are me-to-a-"T". Thanks so much, Sheri! I also thought the way you sent them was terrific, too.

Elisabrat 03-22-2015 06:46 AM

ok I posted daisies I meant to say the yellow flowers on the right side .. argh.

love those 30's prints too! especially the yellow one. I never like yellow! but I sure like that one! the florals are so sweet and would be used instantly also. I am saving up my 30's prints til I have enough for a quilt. might take me a while lol. they are just so cute who wants to CUT those up?? this is how one ends up in trouble with lots of fabric they need but haven't used I fear.

oneteappot 03-22-2015 07:38 AM

I also received my swap from SheriR. They are like yours! Very pretty and springy! Thank you so much! Now to find the perfect project for them. I love these swaps. What a way to get fabrics that we dont see or think that we need but love after we get them!!!! Thanks again!

Just popping to say that I will not be participating in the next FQ swap. I am on hiatus for a month or two to get on top of some things around the old homestead. lol Now that the weather has warmed a bit things green up in a hurry. I have (overseeing!) planting, weeding, watering and building that need to get done asap as well as ferrying around my kids to various activities. It gets a mite hectic around here. I held out hope that I could do it all, but alas, I can't.

I'll be back, though, and plan to stop by and see how everyone is doing!

Big Hugs!

Deb

Just popping in too, keep looking for the new sign up but haven't seen it yet.

jclinganrey 03-22-2015 04:50 PM

I am planning on posting it next Sunday 3/29 unless the group prefers I post it sooner??

Let me know - - - -

jclinganrey 03-22-2015 04:59 PM

OK. I went ahead and posted the April Swap. Jump in!!!

jaba 03-22-2015 05:03 PM

now's good for me, but only an opinion, I don't have civil war left if that's what you're going to do but can swap something else on the side...if we can still do that. Civil war or 50's is 100 miles away, one way, for me to go and buy. Sometimes little towns has those drawbacks but most of the time they are great..less traffic and all the other stuff???

jclinganrey 03-23-2015 06:54 AM

Good morning all -

In your PM please let me know which swap you're signing up for; the CW, the UGLY yard or both. That way I can make my lists accordingly.

I realize I will probably be running this swap a little differently than Brat did so please be patient with me and be sure to let me know what you want/don't want, etc.

Thanks -

jclinganrey 03-23-2015 06:56 AM

From here forward, I'll be reading and replying on the APRIL Fat Quarter swap post.

Thanks -

Elisabrat 03-27-2015 07:37 AM

Jclinganrey you will do just fine and they will love you as their hostess! Its a fun swap. the fat quarters are the big thing here :) and a side swap of whatever you chose as an extra and you will be golden. Its always a blast to see what is traded its like shopping without leaving home. :) Good luck with this and everyone keep on swapping. I will be back to drool and drool over your swaps!
