Prayers and wishes for a quick recovery for sweetwater. I don't have knee replacements but have had my natural knee dislocated on several occasions and it is not only painful but feels so odd and you can't walk. I'm guessing it is the same with a knee replacement. Hope she won't need surgery.

Where would this quilters hospital be Kristina? Sounds like a great idea.

I wasn't able to sign up for March or April swaps because my husband has been in the hospital for 19 days. After 11 days with acute pancreatitis, he had a duodenal ulcer perforate and he had to have emergency surgery. So I have been spending about 15-18 hours at the hospital and then go home for food, shower and a snuggle with my new granddaughter. I have been following the post while in the hospital and I hope to be able to join you all again in May.

Gail ( Sweetwater) says thanks for all your prayers...
Talked to Gail 3 times today, 3rd time was a charm... Doctor had finally come in, he'd been operating since early morning one was the patient in the bed next to hers... ( 80 year old broken leg in 3 places) The doctor is going to talk to the one who did her operation and clue him in and he says that from what he sees they have 3 choices 1... Therapy 2. pins in a non invasive way 3. surgery to put a plate in.. She will know tomorrow and Tuesday will be in one of the 3... She is in pretty good spirits and trying to read as she is pretty much on her back for the most part as she can't really sit up straight... So when I know more will fill you in... Have you got her address??? You could send her a note at her house and her hubby could take it to her... Just PM me and I will send you her home address... Know she's love to hear from you... |
Rosemary - I am so sorry to hear about Gail I wish her the best and a speedy recovery.
Renee - I am so sorry to hear that your husband is still in the hospital, I wish him a speedy recovery also. Congrats again on the new grandbaby. A couple weeks ago I posted pictures of a desk I purchased and was DETERMINED to make work for my sewing room. Well I am happy to announce that I FINALLY got my sewing room DONE today!! Boy is my back and head killing me it has been a very long and hard weekend to get it all finished but I am happy that the sewing room is done. In the event anyone might be interested in seeing the room you can click on the following link. Finished sewing room Now I have to get back into the fabric room and fix the mega mess I created in there by moving ALL my fabric to that room because I do not want fabric in the sewing room unless it is for a project that I am working on. Loved seeing all the fabulous sp packages this month. I am going to miss not joining in the April swap, but I have to much going on now to be able to participate this time. |
