Postcard received from Nelco.
Thank you. Is the song 'Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini'?
Nelco, I'm hoping yours goes out tomorrow.

Sweet postcard. There is an old, old song (older than me!) by Ferlin Husky called "Wings of a Snow White Dove." That's the only song that came to mind, but it's probably not right. I mean, how many people would think of that song anyway? (Now I have the tune stuck in my head. Thanks!)

Me! It was one of my dads favorites.

Betty, I have to ask at work. I hope somebody besides me remembers them. I just know there was a name for them. Oh, I have it -- go-go boots! Anybody else remember go-go boots? I thought the name sprang from that same era as the song, "These Boots Were Made for Walking," which is the song you mentioned first, Betty.

My sister and I had some! We would turn on radio and dance around the house. Mine had fringe!!! (Well, maybe they were not official go go's. We were pretty young for dancin boots)

Same here, Fizzie. I had a pair of white go-go boots. Not that I did much "walking" or anything in them! By the way, I love your avatar!

mariam -- neat postcard from Nelda. I'm with you on the song title!

cute postcard with the bikini,
i had white vinyl go go boots too in the late 60's. I was about 10 and my grandma made me a crocheted purple mini skirt to go with it. I thought i was so cool in that outfit.

Could this one be "Puppy Love" by Pat Boone. I loved his singing especially April Showers and Love Letters in the Sand. So many memories.
