QuilterMomma 07-12-2012 01:24 PM

Are you an acorn or walnut, or maybe an almond, but could be a macadamia. :D:p

abdconsultant 07-13-2012 04:26 AM

Got the go ahead for another mini project, a wall hanging and the theme is; "quilters are piece makers" or your own sewing or quilting related theme. These will be made for our sewing room / space / or spot. finish size 12" x 14, 16, or 18".

i am not understanding the "theme" concept. how is this theme to relate to what we decide to make?

have all the swap participants received their minis yet? has this swap concluded? just curious. it doesn't seem that i saw a pic of all the minis per the participant count though i could be wrong.

abdconsultant 07-13-2012 03:20 PM

I will try to post all pics together, this weekend.

I am still working on one for Quilter Momma. What seemed simple has gone awry ... several times. And I've had some sciatic nerve problems that have undone me. Thankfully Quilter Momma has been patient and will be justly rewarded for her patience.

TammyB 07-15-2012 10:40 AM

Just tuned into this thread. Is there a new swap coming up? I think I'd like to try it. Thanks.

I got my Modern Mini from LeslieFrost. Love the earthtone colors. I laid the little fabric gifts on top of the back side so I could get them in the picture. Just too cute!! Thanks Leslie!

I love this quilt. The picture does not of the quilting justice. Her lines are soo perfect and it was a bold move stitching white on black but Donna pulled it off.

try clicking on their feedback score from any post and see if that doesn't take you to their feedback page.

I have been laid up all week after my motorcycle accident last Sunday evening..the pain has been so severe it leaves me sick..I can't eat, so my sugars crash...BUT...when I do get a few moments to sit here, I always come look at this thread....WOW...it sure shows that some talented, creative, FUN-loving, caring, sharing, lovely people do exist!

thanks for sharing everyone!

nancia 07-28-2012 09:34 AM

I had FULL gear on and still....hitting a tree at 10MPH with your body can do things you never dreamed of...trust me...I can't take the anti-inflammatory meds due to my lapband, so doing a mild relaxer is the best I can hope for....and keeping my legs elevated and resting...but NO sewing, gardening, standing or sitting for more than 20 minutes.....it is hard, but also painful to not rest and take it easy, so I give in..which is so not like me..heheheh

nancia 07-28-2012 09:57 AM

i had a texas 'car mugging tree' jump out at me when i lived in the colony. maybe someone planted one near you!! one minute it's clear, and the next there's that tree! i hope you left big dents in it! and not so many in you! but, dang, those trees are hard!!!

Sorry to hear, glad you are okay. Good thing that you were moving slow. Take care and wishing you a speedy recovery :)

MaryMo 07-28-2012 03:11 PM

Hey Jacquie ... here's hoping you heal fast! take care ....

JuneBillie 07-28-2012 09:42 PM

Jacquie I am glad you will be ok. Those trees don't move. I am sure you are sore in places you didn't know you had. Get some must have rest which you need to mend properly.

Linny 07-29-2012 05:27 AM

Jacquie-hope you make a speedy recovery.
