My squishy was mailed and my partner should have it today! I decided to do a Christmas in July just for fun and because I can!

I received my squishy from applique yesterday evening as I was going out on a date. She sent me not 1 but 5 mug rugs. WOW she out did herself. I haven't taken pictures yet. I will post them later today.

The last one is a bowl warmer! A very squished bowl warmer. You put your bowl and contents into the warmer then into the microwave to warm up. Remove when done without burning your fingers and can go right onto the table. It is made with warm tater batting for use in the microwave.

I received my awesome mug rug from sikesjj (Jamie).
She used a "Fat Cat Patterns" applique design, and I so
totally LOVE Sindy's applique patterns.

Jamie did a wonderful job and I love her stippling around
the flying pig. She also sent me two lovely FQ's.

Thank you again Jamie. I really do love it.

as I mailed it from work this past Tuesday.

This is the mug rug I made for Jamie (sikesjj).

She told me that she has her home decorated in red, white & blue,
and that she loves anything "Texas" themed.

As you might have heard the saying before "everything is bigger in Texas"
Well the mug rug I made for her is bigger than the 9x9 to 12x12 size of
the swap requirements. I think her mug rug came out to being about 13x17.

Truly hope she liked what I made for her.

Thank you for posting a picture! I got it and opened it late Sunday night and LOVE IT. I can't decide if I want to hang it up or use it, I am worried about spilling coffee on it. Thank you again for the beautiful mug rug, and I love the beautiful tag on the back. All the fabrics I used were prewashed so dont worry about any shrinking. I learned alot making the pig, it was my first try at appliqué, I love how the stippling makes him pop off the fabric.

well....................I'm better, thank you for asking. It has been a very painful journey.
I still have pins in my feet:eek:, they will be removed the 6th of August and I will need to wear my "gumby" shoes until the end of august. I can't wait to get some new shoes that fit!;) I'm still sewing with alternate feet being raised on a stool. It's quite a picture from behind, I've been told.

Oh dear! Bless your heart. I hope that everything goes well and that you get some new shoes soon. I can relate.

I have really enjoyed seeing all the different mug rugs on this swap as well as participating in it. Will be we doing another in the near future? I just love simple "easy" swaps.

As hard as it is going to be for me I am NOT going to join ANY swaps
for a couple months.

I have some sewing that NEEDS to get finished, and some other projects
for a "bird" expo to get made. We (my co-worker & I) want to see if we
can sell mug rugs, apron (full & half), fabric key rings, and my earrings,
of course this means that I am the one who is making the stuff, he is
supposed to supply the fabric and other materials needed.

I hope your sale is successful. I found that the bowl warmers sell only if you are willing to demonstrate their use. I actually bought a toy microwave to do this! The pie hot plate/pot holders also sold well as hostess gifts. Also the mug rug was set out with a mug and a pincushion in the shape of a cupcake. Good luck.

Those are all so pretty. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of price do you put on them? I would like to make some to sell, but it's harder to in a rural area like where I live, unless I want to give them away. I would have to travel a bit closer to the Gatlinburg area.
