So great to hear everyone is having fun. I love the paper dolls! That's perfect! And having 9 of them to mix-and-match was really fun!

Oksewnsew 11-05-2017 07:24 PM

I'm just so glad you are enjoying them. :)

Libster 11-06-2017 12:27 PM

I've got 6 of mine fused so far today. These are fun.

Chasezzz 11-06-2017 12:53 PM

Jean, for some swaps the hostess likes each block to have a name/address label (I use those freebe)e ones that charities send in the mail) on the back to make it easier to make sure that no one receives one of their own blacks. Would you like that (in addition to having the name on the outside and inside of the zip lock?

Cheesehead 11-06-2017 12:55 PM

I am finished and ready to mail, it appears the address has disappeared from the first post.

Libster 11-06-2017 06:11 PM

I'm ready to mail mine too.

tscweaves 11-06-2017 08:24 PM

I finished 4 when I came home from work tonight. They are fun, except no one warned me not to cut all my fingernails off before trying to peal all that paper! LOL I should be able to finish in the morning. Everything is ready to go.

Oksewnsew 11-06-2017 08:41 PM

That might not be a bad idea, but not a requirement...Just make sure there is an address label to and from in the pkg. and on outside, or a slip of paper w/info on it will do. Watch your emails for my address.. Glad ya'all found this fun.. Hey, Theresa, if you will use your 'stub of a nail' to kinda scratch the edge, the paper will curl loose.. (best way to describe it-lolo)..It never fails I'll lose my thumb nail when I need it most..lolo

Jean

Libster 11-07-2017 03:54 AM

I've learned to take a quilting pin and scratch about 1/4" out to the edge on the paper side. Then you can easily peal the paper off. Only took me about 20 years to learn that. LOL It does make life easier though!

Edited to say: Mine go in the mail today. I'll send my tracking number when I get back home from Senior Citizen Soup Day.

tscweaves 11-07-2017 09:30 AM

There are 9 more winging their way west! I am looking forward tomthe reveal:D

kristijoy 11-08-2017 08:14 PM

Mine haven't taken flight yet...Friday!

kristijoy 11-10-2017 07:54 PM

Now mine are flying your way! :)

Oksewnsew 11-10-2017 08:35 PM

Sauki1 11-15-2017 04:19 AM

Jean,

We were out of town last weekend. I have a free night tonight so I'm going to work on getting them cut out. I'm hoping to have them in the mail in a couple days.

Thanks!

Angie

tscweaves 11-16-2017 04:24 PM

Oh boy, this has turned into a really long wait with no pictures:-) I am so looking forward to what everyone did. When can we show?

Chasezzz 11-16-2017 05:31 PM

Jean, you have mine too!

Oksewnsew 11-16-2017 05:55 PM

Oohhh yes I do Chasezzz, should have been you and not Cheesehead (twice)...considering the time I posted that, I was probably half asleep..lol. I have received 5 pkgs so far. I should be receiving the other 6 by Monday.

Theresa, everyone can post when they receive their packages. I will get them sorted asap, and back in the mail, hopefully by Thanksgiving weekend.

tscweaves 11-16-2017 11:15 PM

Jean, How fun for you to have the preview:-)

Sauki1 11-19-2017 12:59 PM

Jean,

Squares finished and mailed yesterday. Thanks for the swap!

Fabric Galore 11-20-2017 09:49 AM

I won't be able to send any blocks. I'm really sorry but I have spent all of my time working on the queen sized quilt I hand quilted. It is finally finished and washed. My goal for today is to embroider the label, write on it and then sew it on. It will be ready for Thanksgiving. I had good intentions but family comes first.

jaba 11-20-2017 04:40 PM

Fabric galore, don't feel bad, I didn't get mine done either. We put our double wide trailer up for sale and bought a house. Getting the inspection, buying all new furniture for a 3 bedroom, 4th is my sewing room, and beginning to pack my time ran out. December 6 we close, a little bit of stress here but I'm looking forward to having alot more room again.

Oksewnsew 11-22-2017 10:13 AM

I received 2 more packages today. One from Sauki1 and another one from Missouri, sorry not sure who it is. Could you many email me or PM me to let me know. All are so pretty. Thanks.

happylab 11-23-2017 11:02 AM

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Can we post pics of what we sent yet?

Oksewnsew 11-23-2017 12:12 PM

No not yet....you can do after you receive your package...It'll be fun to see all. Happy Thanksgiving to ya'all too..

kristijoy 11-23-2017 09:51 PM

Getting excited now that they are all arriving!

Oksewnsew 11-23-2017 10:11 PM

There are going to be some pretty packages you will receive. I should receive 2 more tomorrow, hopefully. Then will finish swapping and get sent back to you'all early next week. I will post when all are mailed back..;o)

happylab 11-24-2017 05:47 AM

Only a few more days or a week to wait. IN the mean time I will start another project, Bonnie Hunter just put out her 1st clue. Bye.

Chasezzz 11-25-2017 05:12 PM

Many of you here have enjoyed exchanges with JustJan, who joined the Bee mid-year and hurried to catch up on all the blocks she had missed. She always had good observations and advice, had a wonderful sense of humor, and provided a few good recipes on some threads here on QB.

I "met" Jan on QB and since this past February helped her with medical visits, because she had no family nearby. Last evening Jan lost her battle with an infection. She has mentioned here that she was on chemo for a good part of this year (a number of comments about her "chemo brain"). Her immune system was very compromised, even though she completed her cancer treatment at the end of September and was just on maintenance meds. She was hospitalized November 6 and moved to hospice earlier this week. Her beloved dogs, who were her world, have a new home together with a local family.

Jan found a home here on QB, and all of you who interacted with her brightened her days.

Libster 11-25-2017 06:26 PM

I will surely miss her wit and humor.

Oksewnsew 11-25-2017 07:43 PM

Thanks Karen for posting that, I wondered if you would. God speed to Jan, she's much better now. She will be missed..

tscweaves 11-25-2017 08:15 PM

I am so sorry to read this. Jan was so kind and helpful, she will be missed.

happylab 11-26-2017 03:33 PM

Jan will be greatly missed. I will miss her advice and comments. My thoughts and quilting hugs are with her. I'm glad her dogs has found a new home and is doing well. Thank-you for letting us know.

Sauki1 11-26-2017 07:47 PM

Thank you for letting us know. We will miss her but now she can be free of her problems here. Also, thank you for letting us know about her babies. They are probably missing her and have a great opportunity with a new family.

Oksewnsew 11-27-2017 12:26 PM

Howdy all. The packages went to the post office today, and should arrive at your houses on Thursday. I surely hope you like them, I included a little goodie in each, just for fun. Many thanks to all that sent extra, and the fat quarters. I hope all have a glorious and Merry Christmas. Thanks for being in this swap. You all are great.

Hugs
Jean

Sauki1 11-27-2017 07:55 PM

Thanks for running it Jean. I'm excited to see the angels when they arrive.

Cheesehead 11-30-2017 02:08 PM

I received my angels today, they are just darling! Everyone did such a wonderful job on them! KristiJoy, the extra trims you sent are so thoughtful, they are going to look great on the angel block you made.

Thank you Jean for hosting this swap and for coordinating the quilting bee blocks we made each month. We have a terrific group!

Jan

Oksewnsew 11-30-2017 02:39 PM

Thanks, Jan. I'm glad you liked your package. We do have a great group.

Sauki1 11-30-2017 05:30 PM

I received mine today as well. How creative we all are! It's so awesome to see everyone's interpretation of the angels. I can't wait to choose a sashing and finish it! Thank you everyone and thank you again Jean for running it.

Chasezzz 11-30-2017 06:13 PM

Mine arrived today too! Got home late and will need to work with tem tomorrow. Thanks all, and Jean for hosting.
