Hi everyone! I am home for the night and no time to catch up on ALL the msg. I am vending at a quilt show here in Iowa and the vendor next to me has given me a DEAL on fabric! Ah-ha I knew that would get your attention! (Fabric and deal in the same sentence). 24 batik fat quarters for $20 all bagged and ready to go. She only had 4 bags and ONE of them is mine for a special secret pal! They are beautiful. I can't wait to start wrapping. I was all excited telling my husband and his eyes glazed over-men just don't understand fabric deals!

I can sometimes go for at least 2 weeks without buying at least 1 FQ).

Something I discovered that I would like to get someday is a product called
Hugo's Amazing Tape, a friend of mine got a roll of it from her husband as part
of her "gag" birthday gift and she swears by the stuff. She gave me a 6" piece
to try and not I am loving it too.

Called around to all my local stores and none of them have any in stock
although a couple do carry it they are out and not sure when it will be
in again.

So that is another "idea" for my SS just in case you needed to figure something
out for me.

Now on a much sadder note, our beloved Bandi (oldest fur kitty age 14) has
been diagnosed with severe heart trouble, there could be surgery, but the kind
of heart problem she has would require EXTENSIVE tests to determine which
route they would feel best to go. We can't afford to have all the tests and surgery
so we have opted to do our best to keep her comfy and as pain free as we can
and make more memories with her.[/QUOTE

Nancy's Notions has Hugo' s Amazing Wonder Tape...just checked. I have some and you're right...it's great!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Decided that the fudge idea is great, but may stick with the fluffanutter recipe, since the one posted uses cream cheese, and not sure how well it will travel.Hoping to get out tomorrow to finish my shopping, Also want to cut out to start a lone star quilt for my DD for Christmas. SInce 6 grands show up here 6 weeks ago, I never seem to get a thing done--one is 6 months old and one is 2!! Hoping to find daycare for them since it's hard to keep up with them attached to oxygen!! They might be able to go home after the holidays, but I have so much to do before then!!

Wow, I have read from page 50 to 150 today between baking and prepping for Canadian Thanks Giving tomorrow. Still way behind.

I did about 8 pages ago list some ideas for my SS. I definitely was MIA when my computer was in the shop.

I do not have any twister tools I really like the look of some of the quilts made with them.

I do not have a fabric calculator.

I would be just as happy with 1/4 yards cut skinny.

I enjoy mystery, romance, historical novels, well everything that is not scary. I buy almost all the books I read at the Thrift Shop, so preloved is not an issue.

My recipient lives in a state I have not visited (I have only been to 10 so far), but I do have distant family in her state. Maybe I will get there one day to meet them. But I have family in at least 5 states, which one could it be?

I think the hole is the place to be. Once I finish reading the rest of the pages I will take a closer look. I do not think my laptop will pick up wifi down there.

Actually I could eat virtual Mrs Vickies Sweet Chili chips down there. I have managed to only eat two bags of them since August 9. (mmmm the big bags not the snack size). This is a huge accomplishment for me, I had been eating a bag each and every week and I have the extra weight to prove it. So no chips in my package, but sweets are okay (I share sweets, but not my chips).

My recipient has not posted here, but who I am to complain after being MIA for almost 2 weeks. I will keep stalking her otherwise I have been shopping for months and I would like everything I have bought so I think she will too.

I will try to catch up some more tomorrow after work and Thanks Giving Dinner.

well I could always stick the recipe in the box...lol

I would love to get a copy of a well loved recipe in my package. Last year I learned all about Snickerdoodles.

I'm mailing outside the USA, so my deadline has to be moved up. Sorry for the confusion!

I'm so sorry about your sad news. For what it's worth, I think you've made the right decision. Going through that kind of surgery at 14 would be very difficult. Bandi will know that she's loved and cherished until she's called home, and really, who could want for more than that?
