I just want to let ya'll know I sent out my fqs today...and that it may be next week before I can get back on and check in on things...my dh is having surgery in the morning (be at the hospital at 5:30 am, can I just say "ICK"??!!). Anywhooo, I pm'd Brenda so the peeps who got my name won't be wondering if I received my "goodies" if I can't post for a bit... Lastly, any and all prayers are soooo appreciated for my hubby...I know most of us think and say that we have the best guy ever...add me in, because he is truly the sweetest, greatest, non-complaining guy ever!! It was HIS idea for MY mom to move in with us 11 years ago...see, I rest my case! :)...We will be married 30 years in February, and I am looking forward to 30 more!! I must also say I am the ornery one of the 2 of us, so he may only be looking forward to our upcoming anniversary, if that...LOL... Regards and thanks all, Kif |

WOw. looks like I have missed alot of happenings....guess that happens when you have the flu...finally feeling better today. I am excited that I got my name going shopping for her this weekend to get some of her favorite things...Prayers going up for all who need them.

I received 2 amazing packages today, what a HUGE surprise to have both of them arrive on the same day, I rdceived the cutest Christmas prints from Vanuahu, they are just adorable, and I so will do something with them for my two grand kids...thank you so much.....the 2nd package was from Sustraley, and these are just gorgeous Christmas prints.. beautiful... and I just love the way you fold your fat quarters....So thank you ladies.. my dull day.. turned delightful!!!

Got my package today. Love the prints and one of them is very familiar. I actually have one of these here for my partner. I guess it must be a favorite.LOL Anyway thanks so much to Vanuatu Jill for the fq's. Also included was a very nice quilt card. Where does everyone get these. I love them.

I wish your DH the best of luck on his surgery and his recovery and your patience in the later part. I sure hope those packages I sent are not walking their way to your homes! Slow plodding down the road? darn I used the post office! maybe they will go house to house til they arrive? I am home from my little surgery and while in theory, um like the doctors theory, I am am to sit with my arm elevated. I think if I try to quilt and raise my elbow every so often maybe that counts as.. elevated right?

I haven't received mine yet but sure they are on the way. I'll show you all when they get here. Have a great day everyone, it's 15 degrees here and snowing and blowing, suppose to get to 3-4 tonight. Cutting up deer today, yippee freezer will be full of steroid and harmone free meat!

Got mine in the mail today. They are on their way west. Would have been sooner, but I had Thanksgiving all ready to mail and just waiting for an address. That will teach me to jump the gun. lol

April was in a poinsetta mood .... and I liked it. I received the same set and am looking forward to stitching with them. I've got a couple of mug rugs/placemats in mind. I didn't have any of these in my Christmas stash so they were a perfect addition. And the note pads are wonderful for those little notes. Thank you April!!

HEY THE POST OFFICE IS OPEN SOMEWHERE its 1 am CA time almost surely they are working someplace (hah) dilegently hustling those fq's out. I love them and could pilfer every single one of those piles! one of these two of those and that one there is perfect for.. what a nice selection also. This is fun seeing all the different fabrics out there.

I just got home from the post office. my last pkg of FQ's was mailed. got a delivery confirmation. my other swap partner got her pkg. just a lil snafu with this second one. but whew! done and now to take the grands to lunch, tuck em in for a nap then decide is gramma napping or sewing. haha:D

mainewoods mammie sent these nice FQ's of Xmas to me. The little prints are so cut, kids peeking out the windows, little mice skating, sledding and stuffed in teacups,and cool yule moose. Isn't this the most wonderful collection of fabric? I was the lucky one this time around sorry Ladies. GrandmaPeg was the sweetest partner ever. Not only did I get sparkly fabric I also received a beautiful hand made ornament that was supposed to have a candy in I think, maybe even a snickers.. but currently its empty for some reason. So please send refills!! thanks again Peg, I love it all! |
