She was super early. I just finnished up sewing my swap items and now need to put some items together before sending it out, most likely next week.

sewbizgirl 11-05-2015 05:20 PM

I sent my mug rug swap out today, but haven't even got a clue yet what I will do for the PC/NC!

jaba 11-05-2015 06:28 PM

Anna, so happy you liked it Had to send early or you would be waiting until the end of the month. I'm in Florida and spent the day making a bridal bouquet, corsages and boutineers. Snowing at home and hot hot here.

Betty J in Australia has not received my pincushion swap. Here's a picture of what I sent Oct 14. I've contacted tracking and it was sent out from New Jersey in Oct. I'll go by PO today to also check. Makes my heart sad because postage was $24.95. But more in the fact she didn't receive it.

That's a lovely swap! She will get it... don't despair. It takes weeks to get a package to Australia, and even longer at holiday time.

I agree. It will hopefully pop up soon but sometimes it takes weeks or even longer. What a cute pincushion and needle case and look at the additional goodies.

Aaahh I love it! My quilting buddy came over last night and she agreed what a great set it is and what a beautiful happy fabric. I am using it! I love the walnut shells for filling and regularly put it in pincushions I make. The anti skit material on the bottom of the pincushion is super smart. Is that shelf liner?

Have a great time in Florida. I hope the warm weather is something you like. I sure do. Even here in socal I get cold.

nhnative 11-06-2015 10:38 AM

Anna what a great swap you got from Jaba. I loved the fabric she used and what a great bunch of goodies too.

I can't believe I already received my pin cushion and needle case. jaba made this amazing set for me with lovely blue and green fabric. A needle case stuffed with goodies, a lovely note card, kitchen towel that is just perfect for the season and yummy chocolates that DH and I already sampled.

Jaba does beautiful work. You'll enjoy all the varieties you'll get!

jaba 11-06-2015 12:27 PM

Anna it is shelf liner. I get it at Shopco in the $ bin section. It comes in different colors too. I love the walnut shells heavy so it stays put and won't slide off the table like the poly fill will.

Hmmm yes I like the walnut shells a lot. Wool is also great or a combination with the walnut shells in the bottom. So I learned about shelf liner and using hair ties in quilting from jaba. Smart! I am a happy quilter here and enjoying my goodies. I was a bit scared of making the needle case but I think it came out really well. It was nice to have the one jaba gave me in my hands to actually feel and see one. I took two ideas from that, batting instead of card board in the "book" cover and how to make a loop to put over the button. Well I do not want to give away too much.

ctyankee 11-07-2015 05:00 AM

Nan62 -- that's a lovely set, & I'm sure BettyJ will get it eventually. It's going a long distance!

lawsonmugs 11-07-2015 09:35 AM

Nan62, What pretty fabrics. You made really cute items and matching too. I'm sure she will be extra happy when she does receive it. Thanks for posting a picture for us to see.

Mailed my PC/NC out to my partner today and dummy me forgot to take pictures and put the card in the package, grrrrr. Hopefully my partner will recognize my name and figure it out. I know she is able to take pictures so that won't be an issue. Guess it's just one of those days!

Oh I would like that! I really like all the ones I have seen. Very pretty and feminine. I know the next one is not shabby chic but I am sure it will be beautiful too. Can't wait to see this new Linda creation.

That is a beautiful picture of a beautiful couple. Congratulations!

I just opened my swap package from Cheesehead. Thank you so much! She made me a beautiful n/c in a lovely turquoise with my initial in purple! Also a matching p/c with my initial! She included Ghirardelli peppermint bark, a fun Christmas FQ & a lovely handmade tree ornament! Thank you for a terrific swap package! Oh, & inside the n/c is a pack of betweens, tiny scissors (with blue handles), pins with "spool" tops & 2 gorgeous handmade pins. I feel very spoiled!
