I was not thinking of dropping anyone yet, but I saw 3 people post on here that they had mailed and giving hints so I think they have the hang of it. That is what upset me.

and posting your pictures.

There is a download you can get that will make resizing your
pictures MUCH easier. I have been using it for YEARS (or
since it came out for Windows XP).

It is really easy to use. After you download and install all
you have to do is RIGHT click on a picture and select the
"Resize Pictures" you will get a pop up window that will let
you select from one of THREE options OR you can even do
a custom resize. You can even select if you want it to resize
the original picture or make a resized copy.

Here is the LINK for downloading the program. ONLY download
IF you have Windows Vista or 7. If you are still using Windows XP
you will need to get the older version.

Here is the link for the XP version of the picture resizer
Good luck and I HOPE this may help some (or all) of you who
seem to be having troubles with resizing.

I would like to know if this helps anyone.

I have downloaded the program and I am going to try to post a picture to see what size it comes up.

The program works great and it is so easy to use. Thank you so much Louise. If anyone else uses it this is at medium size.Isn't my girl cute getting out of the bath. She's really about 11" tall.Almost life size on here. Thanks again Louise.Mary

I have a picture of Charles in the Tshirt that Krystyna sent him, I even resized it ...BUT how do I post it?

lawsonmugs 11-05-2011 02:36 PM

Airwick write a reply and then hit GO ADVANCED then click on the little button that has a tree icon in it. Scroll over all icon till you find it.It will say Image. then click on browse. click on your picture so it will show in the box next to browse.then click download then hit post quick reply. Goodluck Mary

Lori Peercy 11-05-2011 02:51 PM

Mary I am so proud of you!!! You sound like a pro and until a few days ago you couldn't even post a picture. You Go Girl!!!

lawsonmugs 11-05-2011 02:54 PM

I know huh! I just been telling people over and over so I think it is finally sticking in my head. How is Miss Marty doing? and how is the quilt and tote doing? Mary

Havplenty 11-05-2011 02:57 PM

lori i will do my best to remember to do pm's. though the wallpaper background color was changed a bit from the screaming white, the text colors are still playing havoc with my eyes so i am on the board for very small snippets of time now. plus i keep getting booted or signed off the board.

just as an fyi to all, i have toggled my settings many a time but nothing has met my satisfaction to date. the board screen colors are much to difficult on my eyes for me to be on here any length of time. i am still in the swap and will be mailing my packages on nov 14th, the deadline date.

I think that blue/green dot next to the person's name shows if they are on or not. If it's plain without any color, then they're not.

JSNOMORE 11-05-2011 03:40 PM

glad to see so many people are starting to figure out the new board. It will take a little time but it's getting there.Hope to mail my SP package out next week.

Right and also if you click on "Quick Links" at the top of the page and then click the second line "Open Contacts Popup" it will list your "Contacts" (old Buddy List) of who's online and who's not.

Just wanted to try and post a pix here to see what happens. This is a pix of what we made in the Musical Chairs Paining class at the International Quilt festival in Houston. Quite a process but sooooo much fun and the results were amazing.

Hi Mary. I was having the same problem of being booted off. I did what Verna said to do to fix it, I did it then went shopping and had dinner and after I came back I was still logged on.
Log off and then log back on. Right next to your user name and password is a box to check that says remember me. Check that and you should be good to go.

Thanks Verna. It seems to have fixed my problem.

I am getting emails again on the threads I am watching.. I am thinking it might be my laptop, although I have posted pictures from my laptop before. Hopefully I will have my home computer back soon and then I will see if is the laptop or operator error:D
The guy that is working on my computer just became a dad for the first time and his wife had to have a c-section because the baby was over 10 lbs............so I have not been pushing him.............yet:rolleyes:

The rules DO NOT state specific NO-NO's in signitures. They do discourage religious and polical content in discussion, Which makes it a safe place to NOT rant and rave about these 2 sensitive topics. I am assuming, if the BOARD does not approve, they would send out a gentle PM stating their opinion or reminder concerning any changes needed.

Are you saving them as a jpeg or one of the other files that the site will accept? What photo software do you use?

Jan Rutherford 11-05-2011 07:59 PM

Please do not take this the wrong way. But it specifically does state that:

- Profile signatures should not include scriptural quotes or other forms of proselytizing, testifying, and sermonizing. Requests for prayers are permitted only in Members’ Blogs. They are the only overtly religious posts for which we allow exceptions when it's possible and practical.
- Profile signatures should not include political statements or content that could easily be interpreted as such.
- Non-compliant signatures will be edited or removed upon discovery and without notice. Deliberate re-placement of non-compliant signatures that have been corrected by Administrators or Moderators shall be considered a violation.

There will be no pm sent. It will be removed. I didn't want anyone to think if it was removed that it was an issue with the new platform and put it back only to be in trouble. It's a shame that it's like this.

I wanted to let yall know I got MsCupid804. Oh she wasn't kidding, that was one full box. It was a little bit of EVERYTHING. I am going to try and attach a picture. After all the commentary and the difficulty of this feat, I do not have high hopes. If the picture does come up, I don't think I have everything pictured. I got the box as we were leaving this morn. Which means while I was driving, there were 3 females in the back that sew, digging through the box! Oh and the candy.... yes it is about gone. Don't judg me LOL, it was my favorite and I WAS in a car all day! Which means the car air freshner was the first thing to get opened, now my van smells like apples :D
Thank you Teresa! It was a purely AWESOME box, the entire Fertig clan is in agreement!

I just found out a second cousin (My Dad's cousin) of mine in Michigan died this morning. Nobody in our family even knew about it......noone called anybody in our family.....none of my Dad's siblings even knew about it. I told my Dad after I found out about it after reading about it on facebook after his wife posted something. He owned his own contrusction company and was hanging shingles and the building started to shake and he fell and landed on his head and broke his neck. He was only 55 years old.
