I think Candi has a broom she might loan out

koko 10-05-2011 07:41 AM

Time to go sew - if I sit here in front of this computer I'll get nothing done today

It would be nice if people took a picture of their finished block for Marty's quilt and posted it here for all to see :-)

Very god idea Krystyna you can set up a new thread and handle all the questions for these people! You ARE in charge of this one!

Krystyna 10-05-2011 08:43 AM

I'm not in charge of anything.
I'm not even in charge of myself!
Here's the new thread ... unless Admin moves it!

My box is in the mail.
You should receive it Thursday or Friday at the latest.

reeskylr 10-05-2011 09:11 AM

Ok Pal, your box is going out either today or tommorrow, depending on an item that I am waiting to show up :)

A HINT: Your town was Incorporated in 1885.

Jan Rutherford 10-05-2011 09:24 AM

The quilt is a great co-op project to do for Lori's friend MARTY. Can't get involved on this one, BUT I can send popcorn prayers for all involved that it comes together smoothly and it will be a blessing for Marty and help her thru a tough time.
I did send and receive her address, and I CAN send cards of support and enocurgement.

Soooooo is your package going north? by chance?

IrelandDragonQuilting 10-05-2011 10:41 AM

OK I have put both my packages in the mail, I am shipping them priority which now a days would be sometime next month! LOL just teasing....

Hopefully you both will have your individual packages shortly! YAY!

Quilty-Louise 10-05-2011 11:15 AM

HAHAHA

I am not saying which direction my box is heading.
Just be on the look out.

More clues:

They have pets (dog & cat) though I am not saying
how many of each there are.

They have the letter "B" somewhere within their
name (does not mean the first letter either).

The flower they like is a common one found in many}
flower beds.

They list 2 colors as favorites. Both colors are
often used in a holiday.

They only listed 3 current projects.

The city/town is LESS than 10 sq miles (approx.)

That is ALL I am saying until my SP receives their
box.

This has been fun and can not wait to join in another
swap.

IrelandDragonQuilting 10-05-2011 11:23 AM

AWW shoot! Well I matched all but one! My town is 28.8 square miles.. sniff sniff, oh wait, unless you mean the actual town I actually live in! Now that is less then 10 miles! ARGH!! LOL You are really good at this Louise!!

Quilty-Louise 10-05-2011 11:29 AM

LOL

Lets just say I have "experience" at teasing when it comes
to secret swaps.

Hey I just now noticed you are from Casper, WY my Aunt & Uncle
are from there although right now they are in AZ (snow birds).

dabbler312 10-05-2011 11:45 AM

I was elated when I walked in the door for lunch and saw a package sitting on the counter and it was addressed to me; I thought "wow my SP got their package out in a quick hurry" my elation soon turned into "darn, it's just the book I ordered from ebay."

koko 10-05-2011 12:11 PM

I think I have caught up on most of the messages on this site and now I also think I know who my secret pal is. For awhile I thought it was everyone but now I'm closer to the "truth". Candi sure has taught us well on how to stalk and hunt for clues. I think it is coming from a state that my grandparents settled in when they immigrated to the US.

Lori - just want you to know that I sent my block out for Marty to you today. Had a little ooops moment when I squared up the top. Ooops I cut a little hole in the backing but then just added another strip - all better now.

And my package should go out at the end of the week to a state that has an i in its name.

Got 2 dogs. Lots of stray cats think they live here

name (does not mean the first letter either).

Ah! Brystyna!

The flower they like is a common one found in many}
flower beds.

The Krystyna Rose!

They list 2 colors as favorites. Both colors are
often used in a holiday.

Yes, for Krystyna Fest!

They only listed 3 current projects.

Waiting for the mail truck, opening SP packages, sending thank you's

The city/town is LESS than 10 sq miles (approx.)

Yup. Measurements of my sandbar

That is ALL I am saying until my SP receives their
box.

No need to say more, except you're welcome after I thank you!

No. They knew I was coming and prepared in advance!

thomp116 10-05-2011 01:18 PM

No good clues for me - I struck out with the whole "B" thing!

I have my package all ready to go to the PO tomorrow and I have pictures of the contents, It's heading north of me to a state with an I in it, and it's on the cool side there now... Probably won't be there
till Monday, hope she likes it...Oh her name is the same as a couple other people on the board...

greenini 10-05-2011 04:12 PM

Update. We are piled up in one of our favorite motels on the NY-Pa border which likes Ray. Ray is sleeping on my feet, G is watching some idiot tv show and I just read about 25 pges of messages.

SP your package was put in the box by a super nice post mistress in N Hartland, Vt this morning. It's going to a state that is next to the state Candi is in now and that i retired from. I was not able to do anything personal as we've been on the road for ever it seems. I hope that there isn't too much of one color you don't like much, but I couldn't resist what I sent.

I can't wait to get home to 2 months boxes!!

From here we're heading to Steamtown and then got to drop by Lancaster as long as we're in the neighborhood....any special fabric stores not to be missed?

kriscraft99 10-05-2011 04:43 PM

I just googled my SP's address.. really cool area she lives in.. There is a Post Office, ball field and pool close by.

Airwick156 10-05-2011 04:49 PM

Mine and Charles packages are going out tomorrow. One is going wayyyyyyyyyyyyy far east and kinda almost in line with Oregon.
The other is going south and then east just a tadbit. Both like to drink tea, one doesn't like licorice, both have dogs, one likes embellishments, the other doesn't say.
And THIS MONTH he made his own package...but he did get stuff from me...AND HE EVEN ASKED permission. LOLOL

TiltedEars 10-05-2011 05:15 PM

Darn. I don't like licorice or tea.
