That sounds like a really cute, fun idea.

I really enjoy making these little cards. I will be doing some for the holidays. My cards can go through the washing machine. So they can be used as a coaster.

Nice! I haven't made any yet, but have admired the ones I've seen so much - Yours is GREAT! A swap sure would be fun.

Hi Barbara, I'm going to PM you. I've made and mailed over 400 of the fabric postcards or mixed media PCs.
If you are interested in knowing more, you can PM me back warm quilt hugs, sue in CA |
I belong to a fabric postcard swap group through Yahoo groups (postcardpizzazz). It's a lot of fun. PC's are 4" X 6". Some of our swap members get extra-brave & mail them naked. The stamp gets hand-canceled. Some use a clear plastic envelope. I usually put my PCs into a regular white envelope so that I don't need to make a trip to the post office to have it hand canceled (just needs a 64 cent stamp). I use muslin on the back, double-sided fusible heavy weight stabilizer in the middle, and then usually a pieced top. During Little League season, I made a few with hand embroidery while I watched games. My collection is modest, but growing!

Will someone please start a Christmas/Seasons Best Wishes fabric postcard swap? I would except the board requires a 6-month membership and I'm only at 3. It would be so much fun. --Cassie
