Sharon B I got the blocks and extra fabric today. Thank you so much. Will post pix tomorrow.

My fabric that I use in my blocks will be washed - if anyone wants to know. LOL

Moosegirl, I am looking forward to getting your block! I am still working on yours.

Sending out the plaids to Sew Cornie and the December block to Knot Sew today. (I need to get them out of my sewing room or they will be buried. It's like a bunch of Gremlins went in there overnight and created quite a mess.)

 Only because BRT's theme was "modern" and I hoped I interpreted correctly.

STAR 11-23-2009 01:27 PM

Whoohoo - glad you likey. I was thinking of doing a tutorial on the circles cause I fell in love with the method. What is the rule on the QB: if the method is based on a book, can I still show it and give credit to the author, or is it frowned upon?

Those circle blocks are awesome!!! Wowzers!!! Good job MadQuilter!!! :D :D :D Love the tube blocks too!!!

I would love a tute on how you made these!!! Me and circles just go round and round and round....
If you are showing a method to making a block, I believe it is ok...Many members have shown through tutes how to do many different techniques.
You can always PM Admin or a moderator to get a

My problem is that circles are not supposed to have corners nor should they be egg-shaped. This method is a bit involved but "roundness" is guaranteed.

I sent Patrice a pm asking about the copyright on tutorials.

Me either. It's tough when you're a matchy-matchy quilter. Those plaids have a mind of their own.

I'm a matchy-matchy quilter too. That's why I requested the scrappy plaids, figuring that getting blocks from so many of you would provide me with the completely scrappy quilt I'm seemingly unable to accomplish on my own. It's much more fun this way too! :D

Blueribbontoes, your new blocks are fabulous!! WOW! Lucky lady, you are!

MadQuilter 11-23-2009 05:06 PM

Based on Patrice's answer on the tutorial question, I did a little hunting and pecking and came across this tut from the Sharon Schamber's website. It is similar to what I learned.

I think I'll make my own tutorial to see how it would come out.

I received a block today from scrappy quilter and it's perfect! I'll post a pic tomorrow.
