to make a long story short we are all on a journey and we all had to start somewhere. we all have alot to learn and noone is concerned with your skills in the swaps but with getting something you made! My biggest thing is I think it is so cool to hold in my hand something my partner was holding in her/his hand not long ago!
I LOVE getting stuff someone made for me!!

We all are our own worst critics and we can pick our own stuff to pieces when it comes to flaws or mistakes.
besides how does anyone know that you didn't mean for it to come out that way? LOL

swaps are for having fun and NOT a quilt contest where the best one wins! We ALL win when we get a sweet pkg in the mail from the swap!!!!

Hi All!! I decided what I wanted to do and started on it today. It's not very big (about 15 inches) and I hope someone loves it. It's the 2nd wall hanging I've made from this pattern so, obviously, I like it :) All I have left is the quilting, backing, and binding which won't take me nearly as long as the paper piecing did!! The photos were taken with my cell so the colors are a little off.

oooooooo, that is so cute! ( i meant to make all those o's. truly!) i love fishies! and i don't know how to paper piece yet so that just blows me out of the water! ok, that' a pun. what a day i'm having! for some reason i have muscle cramps every time i move. i sooooo want a full body transplant!! one of a 23 year old, if you don't mind:D.

well, i think your wh is coming along swimmingly! i sing a song for my dgd (who will be 2 in august) "down in the meadow in an itty bitty pool, lives a big mama fishie and her baby fishies, too. swim said the mama fishie, swim if you can. and they swam and the swam, right over the dam. wop wop diddem daddem waddom shu, wop wop diddem daddem waddem shu and thy swam and they swam, right over the dam! anyone else know that song? everytime i say shu, olivia's mom beep's her nose! i point my finger at the camera and olivia gets nose bopped. she loves it! and so do i! of course, the words i learned first were more 'baby talk. maybe her 2 yr old quilt will feature fishies! thanks for the inspiration!!
i agree on the mind issue. it may be warped and kinda dirty from thinkin outside the box, but i'll keep my brain!:D
