I know what you mean about "adopted" kids through you kids Lestrong. I have a funny about one of those kids.
On my wedding day - just after we entered the reception one of my "adopted" kids called out "Hey Moms" and when I turned around I was very surprised to see him (He had traveled from Michigan to Virginia as a surprise) and squeeled Rah Rah! When I went to give him a hug he picked me up and swirled me around.
You should have seen the look on my DH face when he looked back to see a very large man swinging his new bride around like little kids! :shock:
You see, my DH had never met him and had no idea what was going on - what a surprise and joy it was for me to have him there. I have know him since he and my son were very little. Once the introductions were made all was well and we laugh about it still - poor new hubby thought some man was trying to steal his bride.:D

I received your center today Paula. It is so very gorgeous. They pictures don't do it justice. Need to marinate on it now.

Glad you like the top - Alikat did a great job on her round - even added a new color, Orange. My friend is going to love it.

I hope you ladies are enjoying Christmas with those you care about. DH and I had a quiet day to ourselves so I spend a good deal of time in my sewing room. Below is what I created today....my "Acorn" round for Lestrong's fall center.

Paula...that is nice. I am recovering from strep throat. Missed my family gathering on Sunday....boohoo!!! Getting on the tail end of the infection now, so enjoyed watching my kiddos open and enjoy their presents this morning. I love the acorns you added! Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks Alikat. You poor thing - You did not need strep with all the other healing you have to do.
