Well I got a startling surprise today. I found out I am cooking thanksgiving dinner. I was supposed to have this one off, but, oh no!! OK... Someone else in my family has got to learn to cook! Oh well, that is ok I guess. That just means less time to worry over this ss box. LOL! I bet I could do this meal in my sleep.

I am having fun keeping up with all of the posts and the singing and enbibing going on here. Thanks dreamer!

"Where Are You Christmas"

Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play

My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too

Where are you Christmas
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go

Christmas is here
Everywhere, oh
Christmas is here
If you care, oh

If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will feel like Christmas all the time

I feel you Christmas
I know I've found you
You never fade away
The joy of Christmas
Stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love

Where are you Christmas
Fill your heart with love

It's not easy throwing yourself out there when you're a newbie and you're among a group that knows each other and has participated together before. It can be a bit intimidating IMHO.

How are you faring with clean up ? Hope all is going better for you now :) Being so far away from where all the damage happens we tend to forget that some are still struggling , trying to recover :(

Don't be afraid to jump in any time - I post many times and don't get responses -( Sometimes I think it is on purpose DREAMER !!!! LOL)

Some of us have been doing Secret Santa for a few years- but every year we get new people to join in and expand our circle of friends - we tease, jest and just try to be silly and have fun :)

My package has been here for about a month. Sits in my sewing room. I nearly forget it is there until I get on this board to catch up...then I am overwhelmed with the need to go in and peek. Oh what a bad influence some of you are. ;) Have any diet Pepsi in that corner? Maybe I should join you???

Thursday ??? Thanksgiving day ... WOW that must be a pretty special package

Just remember , that just because November 15th was the mailing deadline if a package is traveling in or out of the country it can take longer - and with the storm that hit the East coast I am sure some were late mailing out and that is understandable .... the packages will be landing all over soon , then you will have to listen to the boxes and be miserable like the rest of us :D LOL

No matter where I put mine it calls out to me - and makes noises... and .... moves ..... scary really .....

Yep, just because the final mail date was the 15th, doesn't mean you should worry if yours isn't there yet. I sent a box priority mail last week and it took 6 days to go a few states away and an envelope, 5 days to go 45 minutes away. Usually our mail goes out much faster.
Please don't be shy or intimidated. The more the merrier.

I am SO excited!! I now have something to distract me from the box calling my name!! My daughter just came FOR tHANKSGIVING to suprise me from Texas!! Add to that another daughter is home from college!! 8 of my nine children will be with me for Thanksgiving!! Time to celebrate!! Make mine a double!!
